Chapter 96 Three Bombshells in a Row
Abigail clapped her hands enthusiastically, her face beaming with joy. But before the applause could settle, Felix clapped his hands twice, drawing everyone’s attention.
When they turned to look at him, they were greeted with his unusually solemn expression. “Well,” Felix said, his voice. carrying a weight that made the room fall silent. “It seems
ke everything that needed to come to light has been revealed Lonight, hasn’t it?”
The crowd froze. Felix’s face grew even more serious as he added, “I can’t believe it. If I hadn’t stirred things up tonight, I wouldn’t have discovered that so many of you are sneaking around with secret office romances. Turns out, my little trick worked–I caught you all at once.”

For a moment, no one dared to move. Felix’s stern tone and sharp gaze had everyone second–guessing whether they were about to be reprimanded.
Abigail’s smile faltered. She had thought Felix was just using this as an opportunity to encourage everyone to confess their relationships. But now, she wasn’t so sure. Maybe she’d made everything worse.
Seeing the uneasy atmosphere, Abigail stood up, her heart

pounding but her voice steady. “Mr. Rowe, dating in the office. isn’t exactly some kind of scandal these days. I mean, it’s hard enough to find someone to date in the outside world. Isn’t it great that our company can be so… self–sufficient?”
Felix nearly broke into laughter right there but managed to keep his serious façade by pinching his thigh under the table. The others, catching on to Abigail’s logic, quickly nodded in agreement, their faces desperate for any sign of leniency.
Encouraged by their support, Abigail continued, “They always say a team works better with a little balance, right? When people are happy in their personal lives, they’re more productive at work. Don’t you think so, Mr. Rowe?”
Her argument was starting to sound a bit strained, and she could feel herself running out of steam. She glanced at Felix, silently begging him to say something.
After a long pause, Felix finally spoke, his tone even. “Self–sufficient, huh? So, Abigail, you think it’s a good thing for our company to be… self–sufficient?”
Sensing a possible opening, Abigail nodded fervently. “Yes. Absolutely! Just think about it–two people working together, living together, building a future together. It’s like a match made in heaven. Why would anyone want to break that up?”
The crowd chimed in with enthusiastic nods and murmurs of agreement. Felix raised an eyebrow, finally unable to suppress a smirk. “All right then. If that’s the case, I’ve made my decision…”

Before he could finish, Leo stepped forward. “Mr. Rowe, please reconsider before making any final decisions. If anyone’s to blame, it’s me. I shouldn’t have dragged everyone into this mess. Punish me–dock my pay, fire me if you have to, but leave the others out of it-”
Felix’s abrupt laugh cut off Leo’s voice. “Who said anything. about firing anyone? Or docking pay?”
The crowd stared, stunned. In just a few minutes, their emotions. had been through a rollercoaster of fear, hope, and confusion.
Felix had a mischievous grin as he announced,
announced, “Here’s my decision: for all employees in a relationship, the company will provide a year–end romance bonus–ten thousand dollars per person. Of course, if you’re single, that’s on you. No bonus for you.”
For a moment, there was silence. Then, the realization hit. Felix had been joking all along. The room erupted into laughter and cheers, even louder than before.
Abigail exhaled deeply, feeling like she’d just survived a close call. Her earlier panic seemed almost comical now. Felix glanced at her with an amused expression. Her dazed look of relief was too entertaining to ignore.
Leo and Emma came over, grinning from ear to ear. “Abigail, you really did it. That was three bombshells in a row. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have had such an eventful night. Cheers to you!”

The others quickly joined in, raising their glasses to Abigail. Abigail chuckled nervously, lifting her glass, “It’s all thanks to Mr. Rowe, really. Let’s give him the credit!”
The crowd turned their attention to Felix, their voices rising in unison. “That’s right! A big thank you to Mr. Rowe!”
Someone echoed, “Who would’ve thought? In this day and age, we’d get a boss as cool as Mr. Rowe!” Everyone started flattering Felix, and the atmosphere became lively to the extreme.
Felix rolled his eyes, raising a hand to quiet them down. “All right, all right, save the flattery. If your work starts slipping, I can change my mind about the bonus anytime.”
The crowd laughed even harder, their spirits higher than ever. “Don’t worry, Mr. Rowe. We’ll work harder than ever!”
“Long live Mr. Rowe!” Everyone became cheerful and raised their glasses to drink together.
The atmosphere had reached a peak, and everyone turned their attention to Ella, the girl who had just been chosen for a Dare. Henry came up with an idea. “Let her perform a pole dance right. here since there’s a pole on the stage.”
Ella, unfazed, stepped up confidently. But instead of a sultry performance, her movements were so stiff and upright that it resembled a military drill more than a dance.
The crowd couldn’t hold back their laughter, teasing her about

how she’d ever find a boyfriend with moves like that. The fun carried on, but Abigail noticed that Sophia hadn’t returned yet. She sat to the side, watching the others with a warm smile.
Before she knew it, Felix had taken a seat beside her. “Enjoying yourself?” he asked, his tone casual.
Abigail nodded, her smile bright. “Definitely. It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun. Honestly, I feel really lucky.”
“Lucky? How so?”
“Well,” she said thoughtfully, “lucky to have joined a company with such amazing colleagues.”
Felix raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching in amusement. “Just colleagues?”
Abigail laughed, pouring him a drink, “And, of course, the best boss ever–Mr. Rowe.”
Felix clinked his glass against hers, clearly pleased. As they drank, he leaned in slightly and lowered his voice. “Abigail, didn’t you say you care a lot about your salary? You know, dating someone in the company could get you that bonus. Tempted?”
Abigail froze for a moment, caught off guard by the suggestion. She forced a smile. “I…”
Before she could finish, the door swung open, and Sophia returned. The room erupted in cheers as the games resumed.

Abigail barely had a chance to respond before the group dragged her over to sit with the other girls, leaving her words hanging in the air. Felix’s expression turned briefly exasperated–this group really didn’t know how to read the room.
Soon, the game resumed. This time, the bottle pointed to Felix for “truth” and Henry for “dare.” The room collectively buzzed with anticipation, everyone eyeing Felix like they had been waiting for this moment all night.
Felix leaned back on the sofa, his eyebrows lifting in a challenge. “All right, whatever you’ve gol–fire away.”
Leo jumped in first, practically raising his hand like a kid in class. “I’ll go first! Mr. Rowe, I’ve been dying to know–have you. ever been in a relationship?”
Felix didn’t miss a beat. “Nope.”
The immediate uproar of disbelief was deafening. “Mr. Rowe, this is truth or dare. You can’t lie,” someone called out from the back.
Felix took a slow sip of his drink, unfazed. “And why would I lie about that? Do you think being my age and never having dated is some kind of badge of honor? Trust me, it’s not exactly something I’d brag about.”
The group quieted, finally taking his word for it. Leo, however, was clearly not done. He leaned forward, eyes gleaming with curiosity. “Okay, but… is there anyone you like?”

That question hit differently. Everyone perked up, their faces practically screaming intrigue. Even Abigail, sitting on the edge of her seat now, couldn’t hide her curiosity as she stared at Felix, wide–eyed.
Felix set his glass down deliberately, dragging out the moment with the kind of dramatic flair that only he could pull off.
“Hmm… that’s an interesting question.” His cryptic tone immediately had everyone on edge. Everyone looked intently at him and waited for his answer.
