Chapter 6
In order to completely dissuade Adrian, I approached the teacher privately to change the class only to be told that I needed the parents to contact the principal. –
Victor and Angela were still on a business trip in Amerece and wouldn’t be back until next month, so I would have to endure for a while longer.
Ever since I fell out with Adrian, he started trying to get my attention.
In class, he deliberately pushed his book across that line. After class, he purposely asked Mary to come to his seat, and the two of them flaunted their relationship in front of me.
I was curious as to why Mary would still want to be with Adrian when she already knew he was a driver’s son.
However, it was between the two of them, and I didn’t want to get too involved.

Time flew by, and it was time for Victor and Angela to return.
The first thing I did was to tell Victor and Angela that I wanted to change classes.
Angela looked at me and said thoughtfully, “Rachel, isn’t Adrian your favorite? Why did you expel his dad and kick him out? Why do you want to change classes now?”
I said, “Mom, he threw his girlfriend a birthday party, but he actually made me pay for it.”
Angela said calmly, “Isn’t that normal? This kind of thing has happened many times.”
Well, the fact that Rachel was addicted to love was really deeply imprinted
on
everyone’s mind.
“I don’t like him anymore. I not only don’t like him now, but I hate him,” I said through clenched teeth.
Angela said, “Rachel, I know Adrian is with another girl, and you can’t accept it for a while. But you really can’t force something like a
relationship. How about I find a way to fire Mary? That way, Adrian might like you.”
“Mom…” I stopped her with a stern voice.
My God, what had Rachel done to make her mom think of her like that?
I stated, “I swear. I really don’t like Adrian anymore. Just change my class. I don’t want to see him.”
Angela looked at me with progressively more complicated eyes. “Rachel, I’ve told you before that I want you to study abroad, but you’re the
one who refused for Adrian’s sake.”
“I’ll go. I have to go. When?” I was excited.
Studying abroad was something that I hadn’t dared to think about before.
Now, what a great opportunity was in front of me, and I was definitely going to cherish it.
Angela looked at me worriedly and reached out to touch my forehead. “Rachel, you don’t have a fever, do you?”
Victor and Angela expressed their delight at my sudden awakening.
They set about planning for me to study abroad, but I still needed to stay in this class for a while longer.
Days passed by. For Adrian who sat next to me, I just treated him as air or transparent.
It didn’t matter to me as long as he didn’t mess with me.
On this day, Adrian started causing me trouble early in the morning.
He asked me to erase the blackboard and then to sweep the floor.
What’s more, while I was sweeping the floor, he was throwing garbage on the floor.
I asked angrily, “Adrian, are you nuts? Can’t you see I’m sweeping the floor? Why are you throwing garbage on the floor?”
Adrian smiled, “If I don’t throw garbage, what are you sweeping?”
“You,” I was speechless.
After lunch, Mary ran to Adrian’s seat again and started showing off to me.
Suddenly, Mary said to me, “Rachel, it’s Adrian’s birthday this weekend. Are you coming? In the past years, you’ve always been the one to celebrate Adrian’s birthday for him.”
I suddenly remembered. In the past, a month before Adrian’s birthday, Rachel would start to busy herself with his birthday party.
She booked luxury hotels and prepared the cake and gifts lavishly and grandly.

After all, birthday parties in this class reflected not only their self–esteem but also their popularity.
