Ethan looked at me in shock.
I smiled. “I don’t like Jake anymore. Ethan,
please find me a date.”
Ethan seemed worried that I was joking, but
when he realized that I was serious, he was
relieved.
“Good girl. Come one, I have some hot leads,
Jake is a great guy, but a lot of guys are

better, if you give them a chance.”
“I will find someone even hotter than you,” I
mumbled.
I added a phone number to my contacts. It
was really easy to say goodbye to Jake.
This time, I could actually change my fate.
“Jake, I need you to move my things back.”
Brittany’s voice sang.
Turning her head, she looked straight at me.
“Sunny.”
“Jake is still working on his mansion, but he is
going to come here with me for a few nights,
I hope you won’t mind?”
I shook my head. “Don’t worry, I understand.”
Watching Jake carry her luggage, a sarcastic
smile came to my face.
Recalling last time, Jake feared hurting
Brittany, and sent her off to Europe.
I was left, alone, with no husband to help
raise my sweet Lily.
How wrong I was.
As I turned back around, I bumped into
something. Brittany was holding water and
splashed it everywhere, but only she yelled
out in surprise.

Jake’s face changed, and hurried over to hold
her, looking at me warily.
Chapter Two
Brittany started to cry.
“Sunny, if you didn’t want me here you
could’ve said something, I really like this gift
from Jake, and now it’s all ruined!”
I flusteredly tried to explain myself.
“That’s enough!”
Jake yelled, preventing me from continuing.
“I’m going to say it one more time, quit
playing these games. if you don’t want

Brittany here, we will leave in a few days.”
He didn’t give me a chance to explain
anything.
Picking up Brittany, they left to change.
Brittany started to grin.
I went pale, looking at her clothes.
Jake calmly stated, “We haven’t seen you
wear this in awhile, here, you can borrow it.”
Snorting, that’s because that gift was special,
that dress was a gift for my birthday.
Even more because I didn’t think that Jake
would be able to like me, so that gift was like
treasure to me.
Now, I understood. “Ok, whatever, I was going
to throw it away anyways.”
After that, Brittany stayed glued to Jake,
making sure to show us what she had.
On their engagement party, I crashed. It didn’t
hurt me too badly, but I still had to go to the
doctor.
As they came as a group, Brittany started to
shed tears.
“Jake, is it because you’re engaged, that’s the
only reason why she got hurt?
“It’s all my fault, had I not asked to be
engaged, she would’ve never been in such a
situation.”

Jake started to comfort her, before pointing
his finger at me.
“You’re doing this on purpose to mess up
mine and Brittany’s relationship.”
I smiled wryly.
“Brother, I’m happy for you.”
“I have found someone who likes me. Brother,
you are going to get married, and I’m going to
get married.”
Looking me in the eyes, Jake stated, “Good,
you can be the usher.”
