One was Rose, the other was Willow.
The preference was obvious.
Principal Lewis frowned, looked at my
parents, and advised, “Don’t say that about
your child. Teenagers are sensitive. Too much
favoritism isn’t good for the relationship
between sisters.”
But my parents didn’t take it seriously.
And this was consistent with what I had
written in my letter-
Favoritism towards my sister, leading to the
switching of test papers.
I walked into the office. My parents glanced
at me coldly.
Principal Lewis looked at me seriously: “Rose,
from your freshman to senior year, your
monthly test scores have always been at the
bottom, while Willow has never dropped out
of the top three. You say it’s because you and
Willow switched test papers. This is a very
serious accusation. Do you have any
evidence?”
I was silent.
I had no proof.
Because Willow and I had the same
handwriting.
It wasn’t the same when we were little.
My parents forced me to copy and imitate
hers, just to pave the way for Willow.
<
People always say, parents make far-
reaching plans for their children.
My parents only loved Willow, so they only
considered her.
They never thought of me.
Thinking of this, my heart ached.
Seeing my silence, Mom sneered: “Principal, I
told you. Rose is a liar. This time, she’s just
jealous of Willow.”
Willow even started crying, innocent and
pitiful: “Sister, I know you want the
recommendation spot too. If your grades
were really good, I would definitely give it to
you, but how could you hurt me like this-”
“Apologize to the principal quickly! Apologize
to your sister!”
Dad stepped forward, trying to grab my hand.
I watched their performance with cold eyes.
I couldn’t prove the test papers had been
switched.
<
But proving the knowledge was mine was the
easiest thing in the world.
Especially when the other party was a
complete idiot.
I pulled my hand away from my dad’s grasp
and looked at the principal, saying, “Principal
Lewis, if you don’t believe me, you can
organize a test. You can set the questions
yourself, just me and Willow taking it.” . “That way, the truth will be clear.”
