“I’m an adult. How embarrassing would it be if I
asked for money from my parents?”
Seeing that I wouldn’t budge, Ashley took a
deep breath and burst out.
“This isn’t going to work! You’re making so
many excuses! Do you even treat me as your
friend?!”
“Why did you go out and buy so many things?
You’re having a girl! Is there a need to spend so
much money? You’re treating this worthless
thing like treasure!”
My face went dark.
“Worthless? As if your child is something
precious? You don’t have any money, and you
want to raise a rich son? Look at what you’re
working with!”
Ashley gasped.
Chad got angry.
“How can you say that? Do you think your
money makes you special? It’s not like your
husband is even home, who knows if he’s
seeing someone on the side,”
“We’re only here because we thought of you as
a friend. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have come
here in the first place. We were going to pay
you back when we got money!”
I didn’t want to waste my time.
Pay me back?
What are they going to use to pay me back?
They’ve already maxed out their credit cards.
Not to mention that she’s only three months
pregnant.
When she gives birth. it’s only going to add on

Ashley doesn’t work. Chad only makes 3000 a
month. When are they going to get the tens of
thousands that they’re trying to borrow from
me?
From the moment they wanted to borrow the
money, they never planned to pay me back.
So, my attitude was firm. No matter what they
said, I wasn’t going to agree.
Ashley slammed the table and stood up.
“Fine! Sarah, I’m done with you! If you’re not
treating me as a friend, then there’s no need for
us to continue being friends! Let’s break up!
Don’t expect me to help you in the future!”
With that, she stormed off.
Chad glared at me and followed her.

I sighed in relief.
This gave me the chance to kick them out of
my house. In about half a month, Ashley was going to lose her baby.
In the past, I was always too nice to her. That’s why she was so unrestrained.
Whenever we fought, she would always threaten to end our friendship. And every time, I was the one who would appease her.
This time, I will not be so foolish.
I picked up my phone and called the cleaner.
“There are some things inside my house. Come
clean them up.”
Ashley and Chad’s belongings were sent back
to her house.

On the day her things were sent back, Ashley
called me to question me.
“Sarah! Why did you send all my things back?! Are you seriously breaking up with me?”
I said.
“Didn’t you say it yourself? I agreed to it. What? Were you thinking of making up with me? Don’t even think about it. When you guys were
singing and dancing, I couldn’t take it anymore. Now that you guys are gone, I finally get some peace and quiet.”
