He then started grinding his teeth and said: “I’m going to let you experience the same pain that I felt! If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have had to marry Tiffany!
“I will never forget that she treated me like a dog. She cheated on me with her boyfriend and put a leash around my neck. Even whipping me to ruin my pride!
“And more importantly, I wanted a divorce, but I had to pay over 100 million!
“You got to live the rich life last time, so why
not suffer a bit this time around?”
He sounded like he was in pain.
He went through a lot, but that was his own
decision, so why blame me?

Listening to his words, I came up with a plan.

I hung up, went to the lottery store.
I didn’t want to fight over it, since I made my
own money.
Everyone, even Sarah, didn’t know the numbers
to the lottery.
Mark still brought Sarah to the store, even

taking out a loan to buy her bags to win the lottery.
I calmly wrote down the numbers, and the
lottery guy printed it.
I paid and went home.
It’s good, Mark won’t get it.
I wanted to laugh at Mark’s devastation.

About Tiffany, I thought that the marriage was
still in the air.
I need to have a talk with her.
I called her and told her that I would explain to
her dad. She told me where she lived.
It turned out that her house was huge.
Her garden was twice the size of my house.

When I came in, she was sitting there drinking
tea.
Tiffany went downstairs to sit.

and Tiffany and I don’t like each other, so I

Tiffany’s dad said “That’s just my daughter’s
personality, did she make you do something?
Don’t worry, I’m on your side.”
I looked at him and wondered why he had such
a stuck up daughter.
Under Tiffany’s glare, I said “No, I want to
cancel it.”
He didn’t force me and agreed.

He then asked me to stay and drink tea, and we
talked about finance.
I said that “Although the stocks are in the red, don’t get hasty, they will rebound.”
He was surprised. “You know about this? You’re
smart, kid.”
Tiffany said to the side “He doesn’t know
anything.”
“Tiffany, don’t talk rudely! This is our guest!”
Tiffany was mumbling “I wonder what’s good
about him.”
I awkwardly laughed and left.
The next day, Mark excitedly told me that a
good day was coming.
“Sarah bought the lottery ticket, and I’m going

He’s thinking that 100 million is a lot to pay for one million.
I didn’t bother him, and just waited for the lottery.
That day he called me and said that I had to
come to his house to be part of it.
I wanted to see him fail, so I went.
I looked around, a small home filled with
takeout and trash bags.
Sarah said hi, I looked at her, and she was still
the same, no job, doesn’t do housework.
She puts on a lot of makeup, and hangs out
with friends all the time.

Mark opened the TV.
The TV started showing the lottery.
Mark started matching the numbers, afraid to
miss something.
When he realized the numbers were wrong, he
froze.
“How is that possible? The lottery’s today!
“Why are they wrong? Sarah, what’s wrong with
you?!”
