Damon couldn’t take it anymore, and went
inside to slap Tiffany.
“You’re such a disgusting woman!”
Tiffany landed on the ground, shocked. She
quickly explained.
“Damon, I was trying to scare Lily, I didn’t mean
it.”
“She was never close to me, so I got angry.”
Damon was boiling with rage after hearing
Tiffany’s lies.

Damon got someone to take Lily out, and got a paternity test using Tiffany’s hair.
As soon as he closed the door, Tiffany hugged
him.
“Damon, I’m sorry, Lily isn’t my child.”
“But I had no other way. If I didn’t do that, Frank wouldn’t have married me.”
“I know you love me. I never gave you any
attention, but I finally realized that you’re the
one who loves me the most.”
Tiffany pulled Damon closer, even pulling down
her top.
Damon pushed her away, disgusted.
“Tiffany, you make me sick.”
“I’m going to tell Frank everything about your

Damon didn’t hit her, because of the baby.

But Tiffany held onto him, not letting go. “No Damon, you can’t do this!”
“You killed Ashley’s daughter, do you want to
kill my baby now? You’ll be cursed!”
Damon stopped, feeling afraid.
A curse, yeah, he had done so much wrong.
Ashley is still out there, what if something
happens to her…
Damon pushed Tiffany away. “You should pray
that Ashley comes back safe. Or else…”
“I don’t mind showing you your baby right now.”
Tiffany shrank back, intimidated by Damon’s
murderous aura.
<
Growing up with Damon, she knows his threats
were real.
But Ashley, she’s probably dead.
She had sent the Black Sea gang to kill her.
Oh well, as long as I can get away with
Damon’s money.
Just as she was thinking, the security camera
overhead buzzed.
“Ms. Tiffany, do you want the victim to be in
one piece or not?”

I couldn’t say what I thought of the Black Sea’s
dark sense of humor.
After they said that, Damon went berserk.
<
He was beating the crap out of Tiffany.
No matter how much she cried or begged, he
was deaf.
After the floor was soaked with blood, he finally
called the staff to save her.
Soon after, the Black Sea got the message.
Damon was paying 20 million for my safe
return.
Hearing this number, I frowned.
I knew the Hayes group’s financial situation, it
couldn’t come up with that amount of money.
When he paid the million for the ransom last
time, he sold a few properties.
But then, I saw Damon selling his stocks.

He was selling all his stocks for the Hayes
group.
Which meant he was no longer in charge.
I thought the Black Sea would sell me out.
But they were still planning on a new identity
for me.
This made me nervous.
What happened to Damon taught me, there is
no free meal.
Until the Black Sea’s new boss came to me, I
found out the truth.
Turns out, he was my childhood friend, Jake.
He lived next door with his mom.
He was small and dark with blue eyes.

He didn’t have a dad, so he was often bullied.
We met when I saw some bully picking on him.
I knocked the bully down.
From then on, I became his bodyguard.
But after the sixth grade, he moved away with
his mom.
And we never saw each other again.
Looking at this 6’3” man in front of me, I
gulped.
Jake closed the door, and his scary aura
vanished.
He blinked at me. “Ashley, you don’t remember
me?”
Those round eyes, those puppy eyes that I used

to adore were still there.

He leaned in, his top open, and I saw his toned
chest.
I quickly looked away, “No, no, I didn’t know it
was you.”
“You weren’t this tall.”
Jake chuckled, “Do you like the old one or the
new one?”
The question was too intimate.
I looked up and saw Jake’s blue eyes.
His handsome face made me blush.
Jake took my hand. “Ashley, I finally found
you.”

On the day of the exchange, Jake made me go
with him.
Damon came by himself in a boat.
The boat was full of boxes of gold and a
person.
It was Tiffany.
I leaned towards Jake, “Why did you bring her?”
Jake raised an eyebrow, “Ask Frank for another
ransom.”
“She’s worth more than 2 million worth of
diamonds.”
Was he taking revenge for me?
It wasn’t only that.
When Damon wanted to ensure my safety, Jake

added my faking of my death into the plan.
Handing over the person, but blowing up the
boat on the way.
