On Ethan and Olivia’s wedding day, I watched
the live stream, eager to witness their
happiness. Olivia, in a designer gown, walked
down the aisle, a path strewn with white roses. Ethan waited for her, his face radiating love. A picture–perfect ending. A fairytale come true. They exchanged vows, promising eternal love and fidelity, ‘til death do us part.‘ Then, the chaos began. A video surfaced online,
spreading like wildfire. It showed the school rooftop. Olivia’s younger face was clearly visible, along with a boy who looked remarkably like Ethan. It was snowing. Olivia stood at the edge, tears streaming down her face. “Would

many times do I have to tell you? I’m in love
with someone else! Are you deaf?” Olivia
refused to believe him. “Who? Who is she? No

stared at him, speechless. Then, she laughed,
stepping back towards the edge. “You have no

want me? You’re just the black sheep of the
Hale family. What makes you think you can talk

from her pocket, holding it aloft. As the boy lunged for it, she ducked. The rooftop was icy. The wind howled. A boy, turned into a fallen angel, was swept away by the wind. I
remembered that dark day, Julian ruffling my
hair, asking me to wait for him after school. I’d touched the love letter hidden in my bag,
blushing, and nodded. He never came back. The unsent letter remained tucked away.
