Elias couldn’t believe it. He stared at the paper for a long time, slapping himself across the
face.
“It’s my fault! Why didn’t I open it? I’m so wrong! I deserve to die!”
Trembling, he pulled out an elegant box from his pocket.
Inside was a diamond ring.
Tears streamed down Elias‘ face, dripping onto the ring.
“Cressida, why did you leave me? I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have left you.”
Suddenly, Elias seemed to remember something. He immediately ordered an investigation
into the truth of what had happened.
But in the end, all the evidence pointed to Vivian.
He collapsed into tears, begging for my forgiveness, but I wasn’t moved at all.
If only he had listened to me back then and not made such rash decisions.
How could my parents have died so suddenly? How could I have suffered so much?
Now, what was the point of his tears?
Furious, Elias stormed over to Vivian’s house.
The moment he saw her, it was like seeing his enemy.
He grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against the door.
“Tell me! Why did you frame Cressida? What do you have against her? Why do you keep
trying to destroy her?”
Vivian struggled to breathe, her tears flowing freely.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Elias, eyes bloodshot, yanked her by the hair.
“You’re still pretending to be innocent?”
Vivian winced, but her tears didn’t stop.
“Elias, haven’t you seen the video of them in bed together? You can’t just believe one side of
the story!”
Elias threw the surveillance footage from the fireworks show in front of her.
In the video, Vivian’s words to me were crystal clear.
Vivian rushed to grab the phone, trying to destroy the evidence.
Elias saw it and completely lost it.
He pulled Vivian by the hair and kept questioning her until she finally revealed her true face.
“You think you’re so deep in love? Don’t you know it’s all because of you? Don’t you know
everything? Now that she’s dead, you blame me? You’re the one who killed her! You loved her, but
it doesn’t matter anymore. She’s gone, and she’s never coming back!”
Vivian laughed bitterly, but Elias suddenly looked like he had lost his soul.
“You b**ch! It’s all your fault!”
He kicked her mercilessly, not stopping until Vivian lay motionless, unconscious.

He kicked her aside, got in his car, and sped off.
Eventually, he crashed into a truck.
Elias ran several red lights, causing the accident that broke his leg, and he was taken to the
hospital.
Lucian took care of my funeral arrangements and refused to let Elias near.
Elias, feeling defeated, turned to drinking, ignoring his injuries.
It wasn’t until now that I realized… he hadn’t completely forgotten me.
But when I was alive, he treated me so badly.
My soul followed Elias, watching him spiral into despair.
At first, I could still see the outline of my body clearly.
But after my cremation, my form began to fade, becoming more and more transparent. I knew I was really about to leave.
