“You… you… Yvette was too docked to form a coherent response

When they arrived at the hospital room, Howard had just woken up from his nap, and Yvette was helping him drink some water. Since Howard still had difficulty swallowing, some of the water spilled from the corner of his mouth, wetting his clothes.

She explained as she worked, “Wearing wet clothes isn’t comfortable. Let’s get you into something clean
She didn’t call for a caregiver. Instead, she carefully removed his damp clothes and replaced them with a fresh shirt. After slipping one sleeve on, she moved behind Howard, sliding her hands under his armpits and fastening the shirt around his back. “One, two, three…”
With a deep breath, she lifted him into a sitting position, using the opportunity to smooth the shirt down his back, then helped him lie back down and slipped the second sleeve on.
“There we go,” Yvette said after finishing. Her face was flushed from the effort.
As she fastened the buttons, she continued, “I know you don’t like the caregivers seeing you like this, but it’s fine in front of me, right? See? I can do it all by myself.”
Howard lowered his gaze and watched her silently.
Outside the door, Sienna had witnessed the entire scene. Her woman’s intuition told her that Yvette’s feelings for Howard were real. She truly liked him,

They entered the room, where Yvette was sitting by the bed, trimning Howard’s nails. She looked up at them. “Came to see Howard? You’re lucky, he just woke up. Go ahead and sit.”
She pointed to the chairs across from her.

Sienna carefully studied Howard. To be fair, he looked much better than the last time she saw him. His hair was neatly done, and his stubble had been shaved clean
She glanced at his hands. His nails were neatly trimmed. Yvette finished with his nails, then took out some hand cream and started rubbing it into his hands. Their fingers intertwined as she worked,
