“What? The shock was too much. Sienna’s eyes widened, and a piece of bread got stuck in her throat. She couldn’t swallow it or cough it up.
“Cough, cough!”
“Sienna!” Josiah was startled, immediately getting up and moving to her side. “What’s wrong? Let me see!”
He held her face in his hands, trying to pry open her mouth.
Sienna refused to open her mouth, shaking her head vigorously. “My mouth is full of breadcrumbs; how could I show him that? Most importantly, why should I show him?‘ she thought
“Don’t be stubborn!” Josiah frowned with worry, wishing he could just force her mouth open
“Mr. Flynn” Linda couldn’t stand it anymore and brought over a glass of water. “Ms. Shaw seems to be choking: let her drink some water.”
Sienna couldn’t say anything so she just nodded repeatedly,
“Give it to me!” Josiah snatched the glass as Sienna reached out for it, but he wouldn’t let her take it.
He brought the glass to her lips. “Drink it!”
With no other option, Sienna didn’t want to choke, so she drank as he held the glass. After swallowing several gulps of water, she finally felt at ease.
Sienna looked up and pushed the glass away.
“Is it enough!” Josiah still seemed worried. “Are you okay now! Feeling better?”
“Yes” Sienna nodded. “I’m okay”
“That’s good.” Josiah sighed in relief, putting the glass down and gently tapping her nose. You can chake on bread? Could you be any more Careless?”
Sienna frowned and tilted her head. She really didn’t like him touching her, not at all.
As his hand lay empty, Josiah’s face froze momentarily, but he wasn’t angry. In fact, he was more upset after overhearing her say she didn’t like him on the balcony.
Josiah stood up and sat back in his chair, lowered his head, and continued slicing the bread

Josiah paused for a couple of seconds, then lifted his hand and gazed deeply at her.
“Sienna,” he said in a casual tone, but there was an undeniable foror in his words

A chill crept over Sienna’s hear, “Yes, that’s exactly how he is.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed, she asked, “So what exactly do you want me to do?”
Finally getting to the point, Josiah sat up straighter, leaning slightly toward her, “I’ve made it clear. Come back to me and withdraw the divorce application.”
“What Sienna shook her head, gazing into his eyes and trying to read his thoughts. “I mean, why are you doing this?”
What? Josiah was stunned by the question, “Isn’t it obvious! I want to win your heart back‘
Sienna let out a barely audible laugh. “You want me back by your side, but why? Surely you haven’t just fallen for me, have you?”
Like? Josiah raised an eyebrow at a question he’d never thought to consider.
Sienna read his expression perfectly. Just as I suspected, he had other motives.

“Why“” Sienna was surprised, feeling a chill up her spine. That’s my job!”
