Ethan winked back, giving me a thumbs up.
My dad and Janet snapped out of their shock.
He scrambled for the controls, while she
shrieked, “Turn it off! Turn it off!”
I sipped my wine, enjoying the burn.
A great show.
And it wasn’t over yet. They couldn’t turn it
off.
The video and audio kept rolling, despite their

frantic efforts.
My dad yelled at a waiter, who had no idea
why the system had gone rogue.
The show ended when the video did.
My dear father, in his panic, forgot he could
just unplug the damn thing.
He and Janet both sagged with relief.
Janet, furious, tried to come at me, but my
dad held her back.
Protecting me?
<
Protecting me?
No.
He was afraid of Ethan.
Ethan, never one to miss a good time, raised his glass, looking around with a smirk.
“Janet, how did you like our little birthday
present?”
Janet was speechless.
My dad, blinded by love, pulled her behind
him, his voice tight, “Mr. Ethan, we’re so
honored you came, but this… this fake video
is going too far.”
<
Even now, he didn’t dare lose his temper completely. Still using respectful language.
Ethan rolled his eyes, “Your wife? You mean
your mistress?”
Janet blanched.
Ethan was on my side, and he wasn’t holding
back. Every word was a slap in Janet’s face.
The room buzzed with whispers.
Ethan was about to take me away, but as he opened his mouth, the room quieted, and
Sarah’s muttered words echoed through the

Sarah’s muttered words echoed through the
silence.
Two words.
“Simp.”
Clearly aimed at Ethan.
The room froze. Sarah’s face went white.
Poor thing hadn’t realized how quiet it had
gotten.
“Mr. Ethan…” she stammered, her voice
shaking.
“I didn’t mean you. I was just…”
She couldn’t finish the sentence.
Ethan stared at her for two seconds, then
drained his glass and threw it at her feet.
It shattered, spraying shards of glass that sliced into Sarah’s leg.
Ethan smiled.
“Yeah,” he said, looking around the room, his
voice calm, “I’m Olivia’s simp. So anyone who
messes with her better be ready for the
consequences.”
He grabbed my wrist and walked out.
<
The room was still silent as we left.
