He didn’t believe I didn’t care about our
marriage.
He started looking for me like crazy, my
picture on every major news outlet.
Underneath, a line Chad dictated, “Hazel,
come back, I’m so lost without you.”
Chad’s reaction made Ashley uneasy.
When Chad got drunk because he couldn’t
find me, Ashley tricked him into signing a
property transfer agreement.
Chad got more and more worried.
He decided to marry Ashley, force me to
show up.
L
He took wedding photos with Ashley, even
announced he’d marry Ashley in two days.
Right after the wedding, Chad eagerly sent all
the wedding photos and the name of the
hotel where the wedding was held to my
WeChat.
“Hazel, this is my last chance for you, come
back in two days, I’ll pretend nothing
happened, or I’m marrying Ashley.”
Chad looked at my picture and cried.
I laughed, shaking.
He did love me once.
Knowing he killed me himself, he must be
<
hurting.
Ashley thought she had her happy ending,
hoping Chad would give her a baby soon.
But Chad coldly turned her down, even made
her sleep in the guest room.
“You can’t sleep in my and Hazel’s bedroom,
she’ll get jealous.”
When Ashley’s wedding photos appeared in
public, rumors spread online.
“How did that woman marry so well?”
“Isn’t she the mistress whose eyes were
blinded by some rich guy’s wife? Someone’s
marrying her so openly?”
When Chad accidentally saw the comments, it
hit him like a ton of bricks.
He quickly called his secretary.
“Go check, what did Ashley do after she left
me, and…and who donated that kidney to
me.”
Before the secretary could find the truth Chad
wanted, he got a package.
A kidney donation form.
Clearly written on it, donor Hazel Hayes,
recipient, of course, was him.
Wayne not only sent Chad the agreement of
me donating my kidney to him.
He also sent him a recording.
“Wayne, you have to keep this a secret. Don’t
let Chad know I donated my kidney to him. I
don’t want him to feel bad.”
Hearing my gentle voice, Chad’s eyes
widened, tears streaming down his face.
When he saw Ashley’s medical records,
Chad’s heart was filled with sadness.
As Ashley’s attending physician, Wayne wrote
clearly in the diagnosis that Ashley’s eyes
were briefly blinded by trauma, not drugs.
Chad thought about how he believed Ashley’s
words without giving me and Wayne a chance
to explain.
く
He slapped himself.
“No, it couldn’t have been Hazel who donated
that kidney to me, Ashley couldn’t have lied to
me so much.”
But in the face of the truth, he couldn’t argue.
Chad beat his head, “God, what have I done?”
Suddenly, his eyes flashed with anger, he ran
to the guest room.
He was going to get some answers from the
culprit, Ashley.
Chad was so mad, Chad yelled “Ashley, you
b****, come out here and explain how you
lost your eyesight.”
The housekeeper came to Chad, his voice
trembling.
“Mr. Hayes, Miss Ashley…has left, this is the
video of her leaving.”
In the video, Ashley was holding a man’s
hand.
“Honey, what took you so long? Don’t you
know how scared I was being with Chad?”
“If he finds out I lied to him, he won’t let me
go.‘
The man looked at the door of thé Hayes
house.
He kissed Ashley on camera.
<
When Chad saw the man’s face, a nameless
fear rose in his heart.
The man’s face was exactly the same as the
courier who delivered the delivery note.
Chad was shaking his head, incredulous.
“Hazel must still be at the hospital, she
wouldn’t leave me.”
