Childhood Sweetheart and School
Flower
Chapter One
Dustin, my childhood best friend, had fallen
head over heels for Tiffany, the school’s
queen bee, a real heartbreaker.
Her favorite pastime was ditching guys right
when they were totally hooked.
She thrived on watching them squirm, grovel,
just to prove how magnetic she was.
Last time around, I tried to warn Dustin, not
wanting him to end up like those other guys.
Big mistake. He ran right to Tiffany with the
story.
<
That turned me into a target, years of
bullying, ending with me falling from the roof.
This time? I’m staying out of it.
I’m actually curious if he can tame that
poisonous rose.

Dustin, arm around Tiffany, walked right past
me, stone–faced.
Didn’t even glance at me standing there,
dumbstruck.
Same scene, same moment, playing out all
over again.
It hit me – I’d been reborn!
Back to the day Dustin and Tiffany got.
together.
Dustin and I? We were practically family.
Ever since I knew what “like” meant, Dustin
was all I saw, all I thought about.
Last time, I accidentally overheard some other classmates talking about how Tiffany was a total player.
From middle school to high school, she’d
gone through more boyfriends than I had
pairs of shoes.
Her thing was, once a guy was hopelessly in
love, making a fool of himself for her, she’d dump him.
Didn’t matter how much they cried, begged
her to take them back, she wouldn’t budge.
She even seemed to get off on being adored
and chased.
For her, it was all just a game.
And she had the resources to play it!
She was young, beautiful, everyone agreed
she was the hottest girl in school.
And with her family’s money and influence,
she could get away with anything, and guys
just lined up to fall for her.
Even if they knew it was a trap, they’d dive in
headfirst, hand over their hearts.
<
But when her last boyfriend tried to kill
himself after she dumped him, her parents
freaked out and pulled her out of school,
transferring her somewhere else.
Guess what? She pulled the same stunt again.
This time, she set her sights on Dustin.
Last time, I tried to save him from getting
hurt, told him everything I knew.
He thought I was just trying to break them up.
Told Tiffany it was all a joke.
That’s when my nightmare began.
She and her crew cornered me in the
<
bathroom, beat the crap out of me, hacked
my hair to pieces, ripped my clothes. They
burned me with cigarettes, one scar after
another, and all I could do was scream and
beg.
They were like villains in a movie, laughing
their heads off.
Dustin just stood there, watching, eyes like
ice.
He thought I was up to no good, decided to
teach me a lesson.
Finally, Tiffany and her friends shoved me off
the school roof. I died full of hate and regret.
This time around? I’m staying the hell away
from those two psychos!
