That day, Dustin got called to the principal’s
office again.
His mom freaked out when she heard it was
Tiffany’s fault.
She stormed out of the office and headed
straight for the classroom.
Dustin couldn’t stop her.
Before Tiffany could react, Dustin’s mom
slapped her across the face, cursing:
Chapter Two
“You shameless little hussy! If my son doesn’t
get into Harvard because of you, I swear I’ll
tear your face off!”
Tiffany, who’d never been told “no” in her life,
instantly teared up and lunged at Dustin’s
mom.
Dustin grabbed her, pulling her back.
She shoved him away, glaring at him.
Then she ran out of the classroom, crying.
Dustin chased after her, looking miserable.
They didn’t come back to class that day.
The next day, I heard Tiffany dumped him.

She moved her seat to the back row.
But every break, Dustin would go to her, kneel
beside her, trying to make her laugh.
Tiffany ignored him completely.
Dustin, obsessed with her, stopped studying,
stopped listening in class, and his grades
dropped even more.
I figured Tiffany would ditch him for good.
But Dustin pulled some crazy stunt and they
got back together.
It was pouring rain one day, and everyone
was hiding out in the classroom.
Suddenly there was 2.22mmation from

Suddenly, there was a commotion from
outside.
Everyone ran to the hallway.
It was Dustin.
He had a megaphone and was shouting in the
rain:
“Tiffany, I’m sorry!”
“I didn’t protect you, I’m so sorry.”
“But I’m not breaking up with you, I love you,
I’ll do anything if you just forgive me.”
I rolled my eyes.

Totally corny, not even a soap opera would do
that.
Then I saw Tiffany, chin up, soaking it all in.
It hit me.
Tiffany loved the attention.
She loved watching guys fight over her, the
bigger the drama, the more it fed her twisted
ego.
