- 10.
Sarah created a new group, just me and John,
without Michael. While I was still reeling, they
were already strategizing. Calling 911 again so
soon would be a bad idea. But ignoring this
could be dangerous.
They agreed on two points:
David was definitely a problem. He might have
killed his family. That’s why the baby stopped
crying. The phone call with the cop was
probably an act.

Chris was likely dead, just like Sarah suggested.
His messages were too different. But who killed
him
–
Michael or David?
We needed proof to go to the police. Where
would we find it?
Sarah suggested: “@401, knock on Chris’s door.
See if he answers. If not, then it wasn’t him on
the phone with the cop.”
John agreed, adding his own plan:
“Yeah, you check on Chris. I’ll check 404 from
my balcony. If David did something, there’s
gotta be some sign. I’ll try to peek inside.”
Sarah warned: “No lights! You’ll be seen!”
John: “I know, I’ll be careful. @401, can you
check on Chris?”

Thesitated. Seeing David like that… I didn’t want to open my door. What if he was walling
outside?
Then, another private message. From Michael
“Have you noticed… Sarah’s acting weird, like
Chris?”
