those words left Mikhail‘ s lips Xander could not help but slam his fist on the table ordering me.
“Elena, enough with the games! You are my wife, and there is no one I can ever love if not you. You wanted to make me feel terrible right?” He choked, his voice quivering with rage.

me to see my reaction.
Previously, I wouldn’t have waited a second and rushed to his side to save him even if it hurt me but this time, I was rather worried about Mikhail thus I held his bicep, stopping him from getting involved with a man like Xander.
“It doesn’t matter to me Mikhail; he is a stranger.” Knowing Xander’s history was worthless to me for he himself held no significance anymore.
That was the end of the conversation.
I stood up and had barely taken a few steps before Xander grabbed my wrist.

Mikhail tightened his arm around me looking pleased as he smirked at Xander.
As soon as I said that Xander‘ s hand, which had been trying to hold onto me, finally dropped to his side and I went away.

“Nope.” I said sarcastically to Mikhail who seemed to be enjoying my embarrassment too much.
“Are you going to kidnap me then and force me to wed you?”
Mikhail laughed softly, amused as I got red in the face with how cheesy and silly his words were. For a moment, his eyes stayed
on me.
“Since I don’t think you are interested in the deal we originally had, I will rather not bother you with marriage.”
“Are you going to make me wait another five years?”

We were talking when Xander again appeared with Diana, dragging her behind him as she struggled to get free.

My voice, unknown to me, was shaking as my hands trembled when I looked at the man in blue suit simply standing.
My eyes not straying away from Mikhail, in his presence I was almost blind to see anyone and the man quickly pulled me closer, pressing his lips to mine as if afraid that I would be snatched from him.
“My beautiful queen. My sweet Elena.” He again kissed me making Xander turn around and walk away from the wedding
with a broken heart.
By the end of the year, I was already pregnant with twins and by the time two daughters graced my world I was so busy with my husband and children that Xander never crossed my mind.
The third year I gave birth to a son and was celebrating a small birthday party when a mafia family with friendly relations chatted

I was quite stunned when I heard the gossip, but it did not feel like something related to me. I held my eldest daughter and walked to Mikhail who held her in his arms rocking her back and forth to sleep.
