[Story Five: Flower Ashes This Life Was Too

Bitter, Next Life, I’ll Go With You

Lewis came in time, and I was okay

When I got back to the mental hospital, I lit

the flowers that only had dead branches left

and buried the ashes in the soil

From then on, I didn’t have a family

Lewis leaned over behind me

Do you want me to take you out?”

I smiled back. Okay.”

He was stunned

Then he looked at me seriously

Are you serious? If I take you out, will you

come with me?”

I nodded

An undisguised look of joy appeared in his

eyes

He hugged me

Wait for me, I’ll take you away soon.”

Okay.”

I hugged him back

But I lied to him

When he opened my door, he saw me

swallowing a handful of sleeping pills

Sarah!!”

He picked me up and called 911, but I just

leaned against his chest, and used my last bit

of strength to smile

It’s no use, Lewis, I took a lot.”

He hugged me tightly, gritting his teeth to

hold back his sobs

Why? Didn’t you say you were going to come

with me?”

A tear rolled down his cheek, and I smiled at

him

This life was too bitter, next life, I’ll go with

you.”

Lewis, I want you to take me outI don’t

want to be buried in the mental hospital, and

don’t want to be buried where they know”

Let me rest in peace in a place where only

you, me, and the wind know, okay”

I didn’t wait for his answer
