Liam disappeared from my life.
Heartbreak was slow torture, like being cut
with a dull knife.
Whenever I thought of him, my heart would
clench, the pain was intense.
But in time, I grew numb to it.
I didn’t do anything wrong.
I didn’t deserve to be stuck in a relationship
with the wrong person.
I threw myself into my studies, forcing myself
not to think about Liam.
But just as I thought I was finally getting over
my breakup.
く
We were entangled once again.
I never thought I would become famous.
It all started with someone posting on Liam’s
campus forum, romanticizing his relationship
with Mia.
The post was super popular.
Most of the comments were things like,
“They’re so cute,” and, “They’re so meant to
be.”
But then, someone posted a very different
comment.
“Am I imagining things? I thought Liam had a
girlfriend for years?”
<
It was like lighting a fire.
The comment blew up.
[Wait, what? No way. Does that make Mia the
other woman?]
[If you don’t have any proof, don’t start
rumors. Liam is always alone, I’ve never seen
him with a girlfriend.]
[I’m in the same department as Liam. He’s
kind of strange. I’ve only ever seen him that
close with Mia.]
Someone posted all the photos of Liam and
Mia together.
On the podium, at school events…
They were always side by side, always
smiling.
My comment was deleted soon after it was
posted, but the discussion continued.
Someone even posted them to other social
media sites.
Liam and Mia were like celebrities at school,
so it really blew up.
Someone actually found some pictures of
Liam and me together.
And confirmed we were a couple.
What did that make Mia?
A few hours later, Mia posted a long message
saying that she wasn’t a home–wrecker.
She also posted two pictures.
One was of her foot in a cast, and another
was of the cut on Liam’s cheek.
She wrote:
“For a long time, Liam has been stalked by this woman, and has repeatedly told her that he’s not interested.”
“But she wouldn’t stop. She came all the way to California on Liam’s birthday. And then, when she was turned down, she went ballistic. She attacked Liam and then pushed me, and
now I have a broken ankle.”
[Because of our long friendshi

not to press charges. But we can’t let her do
this without any consequences.]
[To the woman who is causing all of this
trouble, get a life!]
