Hiding My Twin Pups From their Alpha Dad Ch 5

Chapter 5

Felicia’s eyes fluttered open, the sharp scent of antiseptic filling her nose. She groaned, trying to sit up, when a gentle voice broke through the haze.

“Take it easy,” a nurse said, stepping closer.

Felicia rubbed her temples, her voice hoarse. “What happened?”

“You collapsed. The Alpha and another woman brought you in,” the nurse explained.

Felicia’s chest tightened. “Where are they now?”

The nurse hesitated, her expression softening. “They left shortly after you were brought in.”

Of course they did. Felicia swallowed the lump forming in her throat, the ache of abandonment settling deep within her. He couldn’t even wait for her to wake up.

The door opened, and the doctor walked in with a warm smile. “Luna, you’re awake. That’s a good sign. How are you feeling?”

“Like I’ve been hit by a boulder,” she muttered, leaning back against the pillows.

He chuckled lightly. “I told you not to stress yourself, didn’t I?”

“You did,” she admitted, her tone clipped.

His expression grew serious. “You need to take it easy, especially for the next three months. Your condition—”

She cut him off, her voice sharp. “Did you tell him?”

The doctor frowned. “Tell who?”

“Damien,” she clarified, her pulse quickening. “Did you tell him about my babies?”

Realization dawned on his face, and he shook his head. “No, I haven’t.”

Relief washed over her, and she exhaled deeply. “Good. Don’t tell him.”

He raised a brow, his tone cautious. “Why not? He’s the Alpha, and these babies—”

“These babies are mine,” she snapped, her voice firm. “He doesn’t want a child from me. He made that abundantly clear. I won’t burden him with something he never wanted.”

The doctor opened his mouth to protest, but she held up a hand to silence him.

“They’re my responsibility now,” she said, her voice steely. “Let him have his heir with another woman. My children will never need anything from him.”

He studied her for a moment, clearly torn. “But Luna, these babies are the future of the pack. You can’t just—”

“I can,” she interrupted, her gaze unwavering. “And I will. He’s made his choice. Now I’m making mine. Promise me you won’t tell him. Or anyone else.”

The doctor hesitated, then sighed. “If that’s what you want, I promise.”

“Good.” She nodded firmly.

He cleared his throat. “You need to stay for further monitoring. You’re not ready to leave yet.”

Felicia shook her head, determination blazing in her eyes. “I’m not staying here another minute.”

“Luna—”

“I’m not the Luna anymore,” she cut him off, her tone implacable. “I’m leaving. Make sure no one knows about this.”

The doctor stared at her, recognizing the authority in her voice. “As you wish.”

Felicia reached for her shoes, her hands trembling slightly as she forced herself to stand.

Her resolve was strong, but her body was still weak from the ordeal.

Just as she stepped toward the door, it swung open. Standing there, larger than life, was Alpha Magnus, Damien’s father.
