Layla’s POV
I arrived at the mall earlier than expected, we are having a shoot with our influencers today to properly launch our new
collection to the world. I wasn’t interested in all of that as I would be leaving soon but I didn’t want to spend another second around my Alpha Dante, I might end up exploding.
“Welcome my lady” my manager greeted me the moment I stepped foot into the mall. I nodded my head as I replied, I wasn’t in the mood.
He took that as a sign to carry on.
“Everything else is set but there is a minor problem,” he said and then paused before
continuing “One of our influencers has called in sick”
“Who? I asked even I had an idea
“Princess Kira!” he announced.

I wasn’t surprised, her boyfriend. practically bought the brand, I told him to find a replacement, my phone rang while talking to him so I excused myself when I noticed the caller, it was my private. investigator.
“This is not the right time” I voiced out immediately, everyone in the mall is loyal to Alpha Dante, and I don’t want to take a chance.
“It’s important my lady, it’s about option C” he replied almost immediately.
I pause for a moment to collect my thoughts before telling him to spill. “The lycan king is seriously ill and he doesn’t have a successor…the pack elders are planning to strip him of the title”
“In a nutshell, he is willing to pay whatever amount to anyone who could locate his missing daughter as that is his only living heir” he explained
A bitter chuckle left my mouth as I heard

those words, my father is finally getting a taste of his own medicine, after everything he put me and my mother through. But this was just the beginning, I was going to make. him pay for ruining my life.
“Send a word to him, tell him you know her whereabouts and will reveal that
information in exchange for half of his
wealth,” I said my face devoid of any
emotion.
“What of proof? He asked
“Check your mailbox tomorrow,” I said. before hanging up.
Instinctively my right hand reached for the bracelet on my left hand, it was given to me by my father, but for some reason, I couldn’t get rid of it. I plan to use this as proof, my father will buy this.
Just then my phone rang again, this time the caller ID was unknown, I didn’t want to pick up at first but when the phone rang again so I picked it up.

“Good day, my lady” I recognize the voice immediately but I pretend like I didn’t.
“Who am I speaking to?” I asked plainly
“It’s Princess Kira” she replied. “I wanted to inform you that I won’t be available for the shoot today, it wasn’t my fault, my
boyfriend said I shouldn’t stress in my
condition”
Condition? What condition is she talking
about?
“You know stress isn’t good for the baby, my boyfriend doesn’t want any complications”
She went on but I could no longer hear what she was saying, at that moment my word paused and I stood there looking lost, I couldn’t believe my ears.
Kira is pregnant! She is carrying Alpha Dante’s heir, the heir I couldn’t give to him. He told me he didn’t care, I was dumb to believe the Alpha of the jade wolf pack doesn’t care about his heir.

There is no point staying back anymore, this is the perfect time to leave and never
