Chapter 15
Kayla’s POV
I looked in the mirror admiring the work of the makeup artist. I requested light and neutral makeup, and she was doing a very good job.
Today was Hardin’s and I’s wedding day, and I was currently getting my makeup ready for the ceremony.
It’s been a month since the incident at the hospital. He had fully recovered over the weeks with the help of my powers.
My abilities had grown immensely, I was more connected to the Omega part of me than I ever was. I had been practicing a lot lately, and the results were encouraging.
Over the past few weeks, it came to light that Vincent’s company had become bankrupt, and he had been convicted of murder. He had killed Ava’s mother. Ava, on the other hand, had been convicted of

attempted murder.
I didn’t feel an ounce of sympathy for any of them. They made me miserable, but then the moon goddess granted me
another shot at happiness, and I was truly happy with Hardin.
He always made me feel loved. He always assured me that I was enough and he was always there for me.
I was so happy I agreed to marry him blindly, for the happiness it brought me was immeasurable.
The makeup artist moved away and signaled that she was done. I thanked her, and she left with a bow. I got in my
wedding dress with the help of two maids. They also helped me with my jewelry and my veil.
I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled, tears welling up in my eyes. I never thought I’d find this much happiness after I left
Vincent but now I had much more and I

was so grateful. I was truly happy to be with Hardin.
My dress was beautiful, of course, it was Hardin who designed it especially for me. I was finally ready, and it was time to begin the ceremony.
I met my father at the entrance and took his hand. He smiled at me with tears in his eyes, and I smiled back at him. I loved my father, and our bond was stronger than
ever.
As my father walked me down the aisle, my eyes locked with Hardin’s. He looked stunning in his black two–piece suit. His
hair was gelled back, which made him look even better.
I was so lost in Hardin’s eyes that I didn’t notice when we reached the altar, and
my father handed me over to Hardin. He held my hand so delicately as if it would break.
He looked at me like it was his first time seeing me.

“You look beautiful,” he whispered.
“You look handsome,” I whispered in reply.
The priest came and instructed us to say our vows. We said our vows before we began the ritual.
The priest placed a white bowl on the altar with a small knife. He placed both our hands above the bowl and slit them before placing them together.
With that, we were bonded, and both families were combined.
“You are now bonded for life. Till death do
you apart, you may now kiss the bride,” the priest announced.
Hardin cupped my face in his unscathed. hand and placed his lips gently on mine. The contact had my knees buckling, and fireworks erupted in my stomach.
The crowd cheered, and then we broke the kiss. We looked into each other’s eyes as if no one else mattered.

Hardin then placed a feathery kiss on my forehead.
I looked up at him, wishing he never left me and that we’ll always be there for each other and be together for life.
I was truly, truly happy, the happiness I had wished for all my life.
