If it were anyone else, they would have been frightened by Adrian’s intimidating presence by now.
Six–year–old children aren’t light, but Shiloh held Travis firmly, her grip unwavering.
Now that she had calmed down, her emotions were under control, and when she looked at Adrian, her demeanor had also cooled.
“It’s too hot out here. The kids can’t handle it. Let’s talk inside,” she said.
Shiloh held Travis while Mac carried Nora, and the two of them headed toward the hotel.
Marty went to grab Adrian’s hand, trailing behind them.
Without thinking, Jessie reached out to grab Marty’s other hand, trying to create a picture of a happy family.
But this time, Marty rejected her.
It was the first time Marty had seen Travis so upset. Due to their twin bond, they had always been able to feel each other’s emotions, and now, Travis was genuinely distressed.
Is it because of Jessie? Have I been too close to her before? Marty thought to himself.
Just then, Jessie tried to take his hand again, and Marty hesitated, unsure of what to do.
Jessie’s face looked pale, her fingers tightly clutched.
-The hotel was just next door.
The check–in process was quick.
Mae’s friends and family, whom she had invited, all moved in the same social circle at Metta.
Many of them had seen the Frost family’s twins being pampered and adored.
When they saw Travis still tightly clinging to Shiloh, they couldn’t help but wonder about the situation.
Shiloh’s beauty was undeniable.
At least among the many beautiful women Mae had encountered in the entertainment world, none could compare to Shiloh’s elegance,
She had a classic, refined air, like a flawless piece of jade. Just standing there, she commanded attention.
In the elevator, Mae stole a glance at Adrian.
He was the most handsome man she had ever seen. His features were perfect, flawless even, and there was an air of aloofness about him, a coldness that distanced him from others.
One thing was certain.
In terms of looks, Shiloh and Adrian were a perfect match.
Mac glanced down at the sweet, soft little girl in her arms, unable to resist giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Adrian might be a terrible husband, but his genes were top–notch.
Whether it was the twins or Nora, they all had strikingly beautiful looks.

Shiloh had met Mae after the divorce, and though they hadn’t known each other long, they understood each other very well.
Seeing Mac glance at Adrian while also looking down at Nora, Shiloh immediately understood what she meant and gave her a warning look to keep her mouth shut.
Mac flashed her a reassuring look.
She wouldn’t tell Adrian that he was Nora’s father.
She leaned closer to Shiloh, winking, and whispered, “Sweetheart, after you get custody of the twins, could I be their godmother too?”
Mae couldn’t give birth to three beautiful kids, but that didn’t stop her from asking.
Shiloh could only look at her helplessly, with Travis curiously peering at Mae from her shoulder.
The elevator chimed as they reached their floor.
Shiloh led the way to their room, with Mac following closely behind.
Before they entered, Shiloh glanced over at Jessie, still lingering around them.
“Miss Lloyd, this is a matter between parents and children. No matter how far things have gone between you and Adrian, it’s not your place to be involved,” Shiloh said coldly.
Jessie looked at Adrian with an innocent, pleading expression, her eyes full of hurt.
When Shiloh finished speaking, Adrian instinctively furrowed his brow, wondering what she was talking
about
But Shiloh wasn’t entirely wrong. This was their family matter, and Jessie was an outsider.
Adrian said, “You should go back to your room.
Jessie didn’t want to let go of this opportunity to stir things up, but Adrian had already taken Marty inside
the room.
The door closed in front of her, and she almost forgot her soft, demure persona, glaring at the door with at vengeful look before reluctantly heading back to her own room.
Mae had arranged a suite for Shiloh, and the luggage had already been brought up.
Shiloh first settled Travis and Nora in the bedroom, taking out toys and snacks from the suitcase–newly released items that the children liked.
She gently patted Travis’s head and said in a soothing tone, “Travis, will you stay here with Nora for a while? Mommy and Daddy need to talk. We’ll join you soon, okay?”
Travis nodded obediently.
Shiloh noticed the anxiety in his eyes and hugged him tightly, her heart aching.

Although she didn’t want to defend Adrian, she also didn’t want her son to feel trapped in what had just happened.
She wanted them to always be happy.
Shiloh carried him to the bathroom, took a clean towel from the suitcase, dampened it with warm water, and gently wiped away the tear stains on his face.
“Daddy was wrong earlier. I will scold him later, she whispered.
