Chapter 31 Never So Desperate to See Him
Ariana Sutton’s POV
On this night, I didn’t have a good sleep. A nightmare haunted me throughout my sleep.

When I woke up, except for the panic and fear in my heart that had not completely faded away, I could no longer recall the content of the dream.
In the dream, I seemed to have lost something.
Presently, it was bright outside, and the sun was hanging up high.
After I got up. I looked at the plants in the yard as usual, then went to the store to buy some fruits and fresh flowers before. heading to my mother’s grave.
It had been a long time since I visited.
Somehow, I felt a slight resistance, or perhaps, fear. I was intimidated by the graveyard that reminded me that I was alone on earth and that everyone I cared for had left.
The cemetery was surrounded by luxuriant grass and huge trees of unknown species. The cold breeze blew gently as if not wanting to break the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the place.
On my mother’s tombstone, the small black–and–white photo was stained with dust and couldn’t be seen clearly.
I wiped it carefully with my sleeves. When I saw my mother’s gentle smile. I chuckled. I’m here, Mom.”
A few lines of small characters were found on the lower left of the tombstone, where the deceased’s family’s names were written, including my name and Abraham Jablonsky’s name.
Daughter: Ariana Sutton
Friend: Abraham Jablonsky
He was a friend to her.
How I wished that Abraham and my mother were just ordinary friends. In that case, Stefan and I might have had a wonderful
encounter.
Even if the outcome wasn’t a good one, I could still confess my feelings to him frankly without feeling guilty.
Suddenly, I heard approaching footsteps behind me.
I turned my head, frowned subconsciously, and saw the man who carried a child to scam me the other day.
He was holding something like a rope in his hand, passing me by as if he was going to do some work. However, he halted in his tracks upon seeing me and had an unfriendly expression.
The surrounding area was relatively quiet and remote, and this place rarely had visitors. When I discovered that, I couldn’t help feeling a little panicked.
Even if Lukas helped me solve the trouble previously, there was no guarantee that a local hooligan like this person would not retaliate against me under such circumstances.
I pretended not to see him and intended to make a detour to leave from the other side, but that man rushed forward and pinned me to the ground!
I screamed for help and kicked him with all my limbs, but there was a huge difference in strength between men and women, and he managed to cover my nose and mouth with his huge palms.
“You b*tch! My son just died and you didn’t just refuse to spare me some change. You even got someone to slander me! Let’s see if anyone will come to your rescue now! I told you to give me the money or lose your life!”

Unable to speak, 1 sobbed. Due to shortness of breath and fear, my tears oozed out of my eyes.

When I was terrified to the extreme, Stefan’s face appeared in my mind involuntarily. I was never so desperate to see him.
Staring at my face, he suddenly loosened his grip on me. His menacing look gradually morphed into a wretched one. “You are quite a beauty. Maybe you should sleep with me before you die. After you satisfy me, I’ll make you have a quicker death”
Hearing that. I struggled even harder. The man impatiently slapped me, causing a burning sensation to spread across my checks.
I was pretty sure my cheeks were swollen by now,
I glared at the man stubbornly. Aside from fear, I had strong self–esteem that could not be trampled!
Noticing the man being startled, I figured he was intimidated by my sudden glare.
Soon, however, a fierce look coated his face again. Picking up a stone, he smashed it against my head!
