I did not open my eyes until Stefan’s footsteps faded off into the distance. Then, I looked at the suit jacket he had draped over me and was even more perplexed. I was certain that he did not suffer from any form of mental disorder, so it baffled me why he would be so caring after he had caused me so much pain
I tried to nap but was quite particular about where I slept. Furthermore, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep in the courtyard, and the lounger wasn’t nearly as comfortable as my bed, as it made my entire body ache. Then, I stood up and walked back into the house, disregarding Stefan’s jacket on the lounger. He doesn’t like it when other people treat his belongings carelessly, right? So. Il purposely leave his jacket there to irritate him, hoping he’ll become so enraged that he refuses to speak to me.
When I walked into the house, I chose to ignore the house slippers that had been left by the door and instead continued walking in barefoot. At that moment, Angela called me into the dining room for lunch. So, when I sat down at the table, Stefan’s inquisitive eyes swept over me from across the table. I knew he must have viewed my actions as too “casual” on that particular day.
Put on your slippers,” he ordered.
“I don’t want to, and it hurts my feet,” I replied languidly as I bit my spoon.
Suddenly. I felt something brush against my feet, and when I looked down, I noticed that Stefan had pushed his slippers to
- me.
“Pur on mine for the time being. I’ll have someone get you a new pair. Aren’t you a grown–up? Why have your feet not stopped growing?”
I–Is he aware of what I’m doing? My heart skipped a beat, and I scowled at him, “Stefan, do you suffer from a mental illness? I have a recommendation for a good psychiatrist. Do you want to get in touch with them?”
His expression became gloomy. “Are you happy when I treat you badly? Do you… Whatever! Do as you please!”
Following that, Stefan abruptly slammed his silverware on the table and got to his feet. Afterward, he ascended the stairs without eating a single morsel of food. Furthermore, his response made me sigh with relief, which was how he should have
acted
After lunch, the weather was so sweltering that it rendered me sleepy, and I could feel myself yawning as I made my way back to my room. When I walked by his room, I saw that he had left his bedroom door open, which caught my attention. The man was inside the room, standing by the window with his back to me and his ear to the phone. He was dressed in a white dress shirt and gray slacks, making his legs look long and slender.
However, I inadvertently slowed down before stopping in front of his room, prompting him to abruptly turn around and face me When our gazes locked, I quickly averted my gaze and fled. Why did I choose that room when Abraham told pick one? Moreover, when I returned to my room, I was required to pass by Stefan’s door every time. I was initially excited about the prospect of seeing him frequently, but at the moment, I’d rather avoid passing by his room.
A few moments later, I received a message from him. You will accompany me to a banquet tonight?
My initial response was to decline his invitation, but then I realized I hadn’t left the house in a while and that it might be a good chance to get some fresh air. In addition, it would be the first time he officially took me out, which I frequently used to
fantasize about
Stefan informed me that we would depart at 5.00PM. Therefore, I took a shower, applied makeup, and donned a formal dress. It was a white, strapless, floor–length gown that I wore to college prom and still looked stunning and fit perfectly. Since my hair was too short to do anything faury, I tied it up. Then, I looked in the mirror and realized that, despite appearances, I had significantly matured since the last time I wore this dress.
Honk! Arar horn sounded, and I realized it was Stefan urging me to get moving Soon, I scurried down the steps with my bag and into the passenger seat. At that moment, I avoided conversing with him and instead gazed out the window.
Suddenly, he flung a jacket at me. “Why are you trying to show them off when they’re not that big?”
After hearing that row checks flushed with emul trassment and my throat tightened with anzer “You-
