Chapter 8.1
Robert stepped in front of her and shielded her with his body. “This has nothing to do with Diana. It’s all my fault.”
I took a step forward and slapped him across the face. “Of course, it’s your fault. If not for your scummy behavior, how could any of this have happened? Flies don‘ t swarm to unbroken eggs. The two of you really deserve each other, you both are disgusting.”
Diana sobbed pitifully. “I’m sorry. I’ll leave immediately. I won’t stand in your way anymore.”

brainless lapdog, Robert, do you really think anyone cares about you?”
“Your Delaney Family is just a washed–up mess. Flaunting the title of ‘violinist‘ won’t help you climb any higher. You‘ d better hurry and snag a rich husband before the news of your affair with Robert gets out. Otherwise, good luck ever marrying into wealth.”

As for Robert, he started playing the repentant lover. He showed up at my house every day with flowers and gifts. It was beyond irritating.
He even had custom–made a wedding gown for me and delivered it to the Peyton Family estate with great fanfare. He texted me: “You will always be my most beautiful bride.”
“If you‘ re willing, I promise never to see Diana again. Please, my wife, let’s start
over.”
When Anthony read the message, he was seething with rage. He stomped around our home. “I’m going to go down there and beat him to a pulp. Does he think he can dig up my corner like this? He must be insane!”
