Samson’s expression froze. Then, he looked at Lily and teased, “What’s wrong? You’re jealous?”

Being the gossip guy. Samson quickly huddled closer to her. “Tell me the truth. Do you love boss? If you do, 1-”
“Yeah, right,” Lily scoffed at him, her expression ridden with mockery. “I have a whole. ocean’s worth of fish to choose from, so why do have to keep watch over one in an aquarium?”

Samson paused before clicking his tongue. “You just had to make that pun, hadn’t you? Boss will probably feel sad if he heard it.”
“How he feels is none of my business,” Lily replied indifferently.
Eventually, they arrived at the hotel entrance. The staff happened to be moving the unused tables back after the party had ended, so both of them stopped to give way for them.
Samson couldn’t hold it in during the wait, so he said, “You should look out for the guy who was flirting with you today. Judging by how overly passionate he was, I know he’s up to no good.”
Upon hearing that, Lily looked back at Samson. So how do you suppose someone should act when they flirt?”
Samson frowned and gave it a thought. But before he could speak, Lily cut him off. “By being a hypocrite like your boss?”
Her comment took Samson by surprise. “Why are you berating your ex–husband again? Do you have a problem with him?”
Lily snorted, “No. Why should I?”
I just feel very edgy when I think of him. I don’t hate him, but something’s just–there.
Samson sighed. “I am being serious. You’re a girl so you have to look out for yourself. Predators are everywhere, and you’ll easily become their prey.”
“They aren’t predators, and I’m not their prey if give them consent. After all, everyone’s just here for fun.” Lily crossed her arms languidly.
Samson froze and blinked.

Upon seeing this, Lily arched her eyebrow and asked, “What’s the matter? Am I too dazzling for you?”
Samson parted his lips. But before he could utter anything, Lily heard a familiar voice coming from behind. “Samson, why didn’t you take my call?”
Lily froze up for a moment before turning around. There Robert was, standing just a few steps away from her. He looked as aloof as usual, which made her wonder if he had heard what she said just now.
Despite that, Lily wasn’t guilt–stricken either. She looked back at Samson. “Right. You have some businesses to settle, so until next time.”
Before Samson could say anything, Lily turned around and swaggered into the hotel, She didn’t even spare Robert a look when she walked past him.
Robert was alone. His female companion was nowhere to be seen.
When they went past each other, Robert turned to look at Lily.
Since the hotel was well–lit, the ashen look on Lily’s face was evident.
She had light makeup on, lending her a clean look. Coupled with her windswept hair, she looked fragile.
Frankly speaking, Robert had never seen Lily looking this way. Previously, he never spent. much time with her. Even when they were together, she would stay quiet and obedient to the point of inveigling him most of the time. He disliked that version of her.
Robert looked away and went to Samson.
As for Lily, she immediately returned to her room. She was still feeling slightly sick and
nauseous.
Due to her growing up in a rather dreadful environment in the past, her stomach never cooperated with her since she was a child. In the end, it culminated in chronic gastric problems.
Lily went to the window and looked down.
Robert and Samson were still at the entrance, having a conversation. Suddenly, for some reason, Robert looked back and saw her right in the eyes.

Robert stared at her for a while. His gaze appeared intent, which was a first.
