Chapter 106 You’re Exposed
Jennifer admitted to herself that sometimes, looking at that handsome, chiseled face, she couldn’t help but feel her heart
flutter.
Especially when he stood up for her.
Timothy’s tone was stiff. “It was just a joke. You didn’t take it seriously, did you?”
“No, of course not,” Jennifer said, lowering her head as she took a bite of fruit.
She only exhaled in relief when Timothy walked away.
She stared at the fruit, realizing she only had one year left until graduation.
She needed to make the most of it.
If she left the Hargreaves family with nothing, they’d likely mock her endlessly for being penniless and destitute.
After finishing her fruit, Jennifer returned to her bedroom. Seeing the familiar setup, she searched through the wardrobe.
There really was nothing but a few light dresses–no warm clothes at all.
Chapter 106 You’re Exposed Let alone an extra blanket.
Angelina was truly sweet and whimsical.

Jennifer changed into the lacy nightdress Angelina had chosen. after freshening up, just in case a maid popped in unexpectedly to check.
It was much later when Timothy returned to the room.
He saw Jennifer asleep against the headboard, wearing a champagne–colored nightdress that made her skin appear even
fairer.
It was obvious that Angelina had chosen this dress.
Timothy smirked. When he came out after washing up, he noticed she had rolled over, causing the already short dress to ride up even more.
Her long, slender legs were now exposed right in front of him.
His gaze lingered on her legs. How had he never noticed how perfect they were before?
His expression darkened. How could she sleep so carelessly in front of him?
For some reason, this unsettled him.
As he lay down, trying to sleep as usual, Jennifer’s image flashed in his mind.

He turned over, feeling restless. This wasn’t an unfamiliar feeling.
After all, he was just a man, despite having avoided romantic entanglements for years and never feeling the need for them.
But now, something was shifting.
Not long after, something small rolled toward him.

He hadn’t fallen asleep yet, so when a soft body pressed against him, his throat tightened as he glanced down at Jennifer.
This woman, sleeping so trustingly beside him like a small animal, even nuzzled his chest as she sought a comfortable spot.
With her scant clothing, as she turned, her front was almost completely exposed.
Timothy’s eyes traveled from her neck downward, his expression unreadable. He clicked his tongue softly. She sure knew how to pick a spot to sleep!
He reached out and pinched her cheek. “Do you know how dangerous it is to sleep like this next to a man?”
Jennifer, deep in sleep, didn’t react at all.
Timothy felt a twinge of frustration.
After pushing her gently aside, he got up and went to the

The next morning, when Jennifer woke up, she saw Timothy was already up, reading by the window.
Jennifer yawned. “You’re up this carly?”
Timothy looked up, his eyes deep. He wasn’t up early; he hadn’t slept all night.
But seeing how soundly she had slept, his eyes sparkled with amusement. “You sleep dressed like that next to a grown man, and you have no sense of caution?”
Jennifer froze. What was he implying?
Following his gaze, she looked down and noticed her strap had slipped off her shoulder, leaving her dress barely hanging on.
Her face flushed as she pulled the blanket over herself. “I–I was waiting for you to come back, but I fell asleep.”
“And?”
Jennifer’s cheeks burned. “But you’re different. You’re not interested in me. Our marriage is just an agreement, not real, so there’s nothing to worry about.”
After she finished, Timothy moved his wheelchair closer.
Instinctively, Jennifer leaned back, noticing the shadowed intensity in his eyes that was hard to read.

Timothy’s gaze was penetrating, “But I’m still a man.”
She hurriedly explained, “I wasn’t trying to entice you. This nightdress was Grandma’s idea. I wore it to make it look convincing, You know I don’t dress like this at King Villa!”

Timothy observed her earnest explanation, noting the innocent sincerity in her eyes.
He narrowed his eyes slightly. “Have you never had a boyfriend before?”
