Chapter 59 What’s Stolen Is Never Truly Yours
When Jennifer saw the message, she couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and disbelief.
She thought to herself, “Daniel wants to collaborate with me?
Is he out of his mind?”
Then she remembered the email address she had used. It wasn’t her usual one.
It was her secondary account.
This was a private email that no one else knew about except for her.
She had used it when discussing a collaboration with Jesse, to avoid revealing her identity.
Daniel surely didn’t know that the person behind the email was her.
Jennifer glanced at the email Daniel had sent. “Didn’t I tell Mr. Martin that I wouldn’t collaborate with Daniel?” she muttered.
It seemed Daniel had somehow managed to get her contact information and was trying to reach out to her privately.

Chapter 59 What’s Stolen Is Never Truly You… Jennifer recalled the way Daniel boasted earlier at the hospital, saying he didn’t need the main song she had written. The thought of it made her feel a wave of irony.
With a sarcastic smile, she typed a reply: [Sorry, I already have a collaborator, so I’m not considering other options at this time.]
Jennifer quickly rejected Daniel’s offer, feeling much better afterward.
Daniel received the notification almost immediately.
He eagerly opened the email, only to see the rejection, and his expression darkened.
He never expected that, despite having introduced himself, the unknown composer would actually dare to reject him.
He started to suspect she was just asking for a higher price.
At that moment, Sarah knocked and entered. “Daniel, I finished writing the second half. Can you take a look and see if there’s anything wrong?”
“Really?”
Daniel took a glance at the pages, a little disappointed. “Sarah, are you okay? This second part isn’t great. I’m not trying to discourage you, but it’s just nowhere near as good as the first half.”

If Sarah had done a better job on the second half, he wouldn’t have had to buy lyrics from someone else.
Sarah’s face reddened with embarrassment. “I’ll rewrite it.”
“Do it quickly. We’re running out of time.”
Daniel was currently swamped with work for his new album.
Sarah, feeling somewhat resentful, thought to herself, “Why is it that my songs, which I worked hard on, can’t compare to the ones Jennifer writes so easily?”
She glanced at Daniel. “Daniel, maybe you should just ask Jennifer to write it?”
“No need. If she wants to use this as leverage, then I won’t give in. I’ve already found a perfect song outside, and if necessary, I’ll buy it at a high price to make it the main track.”
Hearing this, Sarah felt relieved.
As long as Jennifer’s song wasn’t chosen, she still had the upper hand.
After Sarah left the study, she went back to Jennifer’s room and rummaged through it, but she couldn’t find any of Jennifer’s handwritten drafts.
She thought, “Strange. Did Jennifer take them with her?
Or did she not finish writing them?

The next day, Jennifer got up to head to school and noticed Timothy wasn’t around during breakfast.
Curious, she asked Ryan, “Where is Timothy?”
“Mr. Clark is on a business trip.”
“Is he usually that busy?”
She was slightly confused and thought, “Isn’t the Clark family’s business mostly managed by Acacius? Why would Timothy need to go on a business trip?”
Ryan answered coldly, “Ms. Hargreaves, it’s probably best if you don’t inquire too much about Mr. Clark’s work.”
In Ryan’s eyes, Jennifer was just a woman sent by the Hargreaves family for the sake of a partnership. He always had to be cautious, worried she might leak confidential business information to the Hargreaves family.
Jennifer could tell Ryan wasn’t very fond of her, much like in her previous life.
She wisely decided not to ask more questions.
When she stepped outside, the driver was standing beside the luxury car. “Ms. Hargreaves, Mr. Clark specifically instructed that I take you to school these next few days.”

Chapter 59 What’s Stolen Is Never Truly Yo… Jennifer looked surprised. She thought, “What’s going on? My treatment just suddenly improved?”
After considering the cost of a taxi, she readily agreed.
Before long, the luxury car stopped outside the school.
Jennifer got out and walked into the classroom. Without the cane, her pace was noticeably faster.
As soon as she entered, she felt several eyes on her.
Jennifer found it a little odd and wondered if perhaps she had worn something wrong today. She had hand–washed her clothes, and the ones she brought with her were still damp. The outfit she was wearing had actually been sent over from the Clark Manor by Angelina’s people.
It didn’t take long for her to understand why.
Sarah walked into the classroom, and Jennifer immediately recognized the dress she was wearing.
They were wearing the same dress!
Jennifer felt a little speechless.
The situation became somewhat awkward.
Sarah, seeing Jennifer wearing the same dress, also felt uncomfortable. After all, no one liked to have a “clash of outfits,”
Chapter 59 What’s Stolen Is Never Truly Yo… especially when the two people involved didn’t get along.
One of Sarah’s followers, Sadie Creed, couldn’t stand it and immediately sneered. “Jennifer, you’re about to marry into a wealthy family, and you’re still wearing fake clothes?”
