Chapter 215 You Haven’t Reflected Well
After Asher returned to Hargreaves Villa, he went straight to see Jennifer.
He stood outside the door and asked, “Jennifer, have you reflected well now?”
Too hungry to respond, Jennifer ignored him.
Frustrated, Asher thought that if it weren’t for Angelina’s favoritism towards Jennifer, he wouldn’t have come to her.
He opened the door and entered, observing, “The conditions. here are terrible. Do you really have to suffer to agree?”
Sarah rushed in with food, worried that Jennifer might faint and her act of deliberately starving her would be exposed.
Pretending to be caring, she said, “Jennifer, I heard you haven’t eaten all day. You need to eat something for your health.”
Jennifer scoffed, “Aren’t you just hoping I starve to death down here?”
She Knew Sarah was colluding with James to not bring in any food or drinks for her.

Sarah explained aggrievedly, “That’s a bit harsh. I’m kind enough to bring you food.”

Seeing this. Asher grew angry. “Jennifer, can you change your bad temper? You seem like a different person lately.”
“I can’t. The old Jennifer who tried to please everyone is gone. The one who returned from hell is here now.” Her face was pale, and her eyes were dark.
Asher softened his tone. “I know we’ve neglected you because of Sarah, and we didn’t consider your feelings regarding Daniel. But now that his career is ruined, are you still not satisfied?”
He understood Jennifer’s grievances and wanted to make amends, but he never imagined she still wanted to ruin the Hargreaves family.
“We are just getting started,” Jennifer said.
She felt she had sacrificed too much.
The Hargreaves family only avoided bankruptcy because of her engagement to Timothy, and she intended to reclaim that.
Furious at her stubbornness, Asher said coldly, “Since you haven’t thought this through, continue reflecting here.”
Sarah chimed in, “Then let Jennifer cat something.”
“What’s there to eat? The Hargreaves family is going bankrupt. She doesn’t deserve to cal,” Asher said, angrily knocking the

Sarah smirked, knowing Asher would react that way.

Turning to Jennifer, she said, “Today, Asher took me to the Clark Manor to meet Madam Clark. It is my first time there. The manor is beautiful.”
Jennifer’s interest piqued. “Really? What did Angelina say?”
“Of course, she thinks Asher’s proposal is great. I left a good impression on her, so this should go smoothly.” Sarah intentionally said this to provoke Jennifer.
Feeling uncomfortable, Jennifer looked up. “You’re lying. If you truly discussed it, Asher wouldn’t come to me and persuade me.”
“Believe it or not,” Sarah replied, turning to leave.
As Jennifer watched her go, her smile faded.
She lay on the bed, contemplating the proposal and what Sarah had said.
Since Sarah met Angelina, given her ability to flatter people, she must have said many slanderous words against Jennifer.
Feeling more irritable, she turned sideways, saw the food on the floor, and couldn’t help but swallow, overwhelmed by hunger.
Meanwhile, Sarah stepped outside, fuming.

She thought, “Damn it, why does Angelina look down on me?”
James approached, holding Jennifer’s phone. “Ms. Campbell, it keeps ringing.”
“Let me see.” Sarah took it and saw Timothy was calling. Excited, she answered, “Mr. Clark, hello.”
“Who are you?” Timothy recognized the unfamiliar voice, not Jennifer’s.
Sarah felt embarrassed and said, “I’m Sarah, Jennifer’s sister.”
“But I thought the Hargreaves family only had one daughter.” Realizing who she was, Timothy spoke coldly, “Why does Jennifer’s phone end up with you? Where is she?”
Sarah said, “She didn’t want to take your call, so I answered. What’s the matter? I can pass it on to her.”
Sarah aimed to gauge the Clark family’s stance, hoping to get ahead, knowing that Jennifer was still under her control.
