Chapter 216 Date With Timothy
Timothy dismissed Sarah’s claims outright.
If it had been anyone else, he might have believed part of it, but he knew Jennifer would never let Sarah answer her phone.
“Let Jennifer answer,” he said coldly.
“Mr. Clark, I told you she doesn’t want to take your call. She’s infatuated with that singer and agreed to let me fulfill her marriage contract with the Clark family instead,” Sarah replied, eager to exploit the situation..
As long as Timothy misunderstood Jennifer and had some opinions about her, he might agree to this matter out of spite.
Timothy paused, “Did she really say that?”
“Of course,” Sarah replied.
Timothy said, “This needs to be discussed in person. Where is Jennifer?”
Sarah said, “She went back to Hargreaves Villa. Did you mention wanting to talk about our engagement? I know a nice restaurant where we can meet.”
She felt a surge of hope.

“We’ll talk at Hargreaves Villa,” Timothy said, ending the call before she could object.
Reluctantly, Sarah tried to call back, but he didn’t answer.
She had no choice but to save his number on her mobile phone. She was determined to replace Jennifer as Mrs. Clark.
Excited, she called Asher to inform him and asked James to prepare dinner for important guests.
She chose her most beautiful dress, did her makeup meticulously, and walked confidently to the basement.
Seeing Jennifer lying there, she smugly announced, “Guess where I’m going later?”
Jennifer looked up and saw her dressed gorgeously. She snorted coldly and said nothing.
Sarah’s anger flared, mocking, “I’m going on a dinner date with Timothy.”
After hearing this, Jennifer finally reacted.
She said coldly, “Picking up other people’s unwanted men? Aren’t you proud?”
Sarah retorted, “Who are you calling unwanted? The Clark family kicked you out. Don’t talk nonsense. No wonder they didn’t want you. With your temper, apart from having a better family background, you are no match for me.”

Sarah had always believed she was more suited to be Ms. Hargreaves than Jennifer.
Despite being the daughter of a maid, an engagement to Timothy would elevate her status.

Jennifer sneered, “You looked down on Timothy because you thought he was a cripple, so you didn’t want to marry him, and in the end, you plotted for me to get engaged to him.”
“The past was the past. The present is different. I’ll show Mr. Clark who the right woman is for him. It’ll benefit you and the Hargreaves family,” Sarah replied, strutting away.
As she left, Jennifer felt nauseated by the scent of Sarah’s perfume.
She touched her stomach, realizing she was too hungry to eat and felt slightly sick.
It seemed she was too hungry and didn’t even feel hungry.
She lay back, reflecting on Sarah’s words, and felt upset.
Though her marriage to Timothy was only a contract, she felt uncomfortable now that she knew the Clark family was considering letting Sarah replace her.
She thought, “Didn’t Timothy dislike Sarah before? Does he change his mind?”

She thought, “If the engagement continues, the Clark family’s collaboration with the Hargreaves family will remain intact, preventing bankruptcy.
It contradicts my initial thoughts, but I can’t go out now.”
Meanwhile, Hargreaves Villa’s servants busily prepared the villa, while Sarah acted like the hostess, eager to impress Timothy.
Daniel was the first to arrive home. He saw Sarah’s elaborate. outfit and knew her thoughts.
At this moment, he felt very uncomfortable.
For the first time, he sensed that she didn’t belong to the Hargreaves family, yet she was usurping what was rightfully Jennifer’s.
