Chapter 218 Sarah’s Plan Failed
Timothy glanced at the small villa, curious about Jennifer’s reaction to his visit and what Sarah would do if he allowed her to replace Jennifer.
His desire for answers compelled him to come to Hargreaves. Villa.
Upon his arrival, Sarah approached him confidently in her high heels. “Mr. Clark, welcome to Hargreaves Villa. This is your first visit, right?”
Timothy remained cold and silent, ignoring her greeting.
Sarah, still smiling, attempted to push his wheelchair, but the secretary interjected, “Sorry, Mr. Clark prefers not to be pushed.”
Embarrassed, Sarah withdrew her hand. “I meant no offense. I just wanted to help.”
The secretary’s demeanor was icy. “Ms. Campbell, please refrain from crossing any boundaries. Mr. Clark dislikes overly forward
women.”
Sarah struggled to maintain her composure, glancing at Timothy, hoping he would defend her, but he remained silent.
Asher, noticing the tension, chimed in, “Sarah, come here. Mr.

Clark has a cleanliness fetish and prefers not to be too close to others. It’s best to get used to it.”
Once Sarah stepped back, she quickly smiled at Timothy. “Please, Mr. Clark,”
They entered the hall, where James served coffee and snacks.
Sarah proudly explained the origins of the coffee and pastries, trying to highlight her knowledge, as Jennifer was not
well–versed in such matters.
After her presentation, she looked at Timothy. “Are you dissatisfied with anything?”
Timothy took the coffee and remarked, “Is your family running a restaurant? Such a detailed introduction.”
Sarah’s smile faltered. She thought, “Why is he so critical? If I am not for entertaining him, I won’t do this.”
Asher, sensing the awkwardness, spoke up, “Mr. Clark, Sarah is just trying to express herself so you can get to know her better.”
“Why would I want to know irrelevant people?” Timothy retorted. “Where’s Jennifer? Why isn’t she here?”
He thought, “Why doesn’t Jennifer come out at this time? Does she not want to see me, or does she dare not see me?”
Asher’s expression shifted. “She…”

“She’s in the bedroom. I spoke with her earlier, but she got upset when she heard you were coming and refused to meet you,” Sarah interjected, having already devised a plan to deal with Timothy.
Asher nodded in agreement. “Jennifer does like that singer. Since you both decided to separate, it’s better not to meet to avoid awkwardness.”
“I don’t feel embarrassed. Why should Jennifer be?” Timothy scanned the room. “Have her come out to see me.”
He came to Hargreaves Villa just for Jennifer.
Sarah proposed, “Mr. Clark, if Jennifer isn’t willing to see you now, perhaps you could come back another time after I convince her?”
Asher frowned. “Sarah, how can you suggest that?”
Surprisingly, Timothy agreed, “Okay.”
Both Asher and Sarah were taken aback. She had only intended to refuse, not expecting him to accept.
“Okay, I’ll make sure to persuade Jennifer,” Sarah said, still surprised.
Asher shifted the topic. “Let’s eat first.”
Sarah said to James, “Even if Jennifer didn’t come down, we should send her a meal.”

Timothy glanced at them and said coolly, “Since Jennifer isn’t here, I’ll come back another day.”
He turned to leave.
Sarah was taken aback. “Mr. Clark, you came all this way. Please
eat before you go.”
But Timothy ignored her.
She turned to Asher. “What should I do, Asher?”
Daniel observed, “Timothy clearly came for Jennifer. She didn’t show up, so he’s leaving.”
Asher frowned. “Go see them off.”
Sarah followed him outside, but Timothy had already gotten into his car and left without greeting the Hargreaves family, displaying an arrogant demeanor.
Sarah felt uneasy. Timothy had never acted this way towards. Jennifer before.
She recalled how protective he used to be of her.
She thought, “Why had he changed so drastically? It must be that he doesn’t know me well enough.”
She was confident she could outshine Jennifer.
