Jennifer watched the scene unfold, her gaze filled with sarcasm.
It seemed Asher still hadn’t given up, trying to have it both ways -holding on to the partnership with the Clark family.
Jennifer stood by the second–floor window, watching. Soon, the man in the wheelchair looked up at her.
Their eyes met.
After days of waiting, Timothy finally saw Jennifer again.
His gaze was intense, but the moment he saw her, his pupils tightened slightly.
Sarah, standing nearby, noticed this and felt a surge of resentment.
Having just emerged from the basement, Sarah hadn’t even had a chance to rest and looked drained. But she was determined to attend tonight’s banquet.
Asher cleared his throat and said, “Mr. Clark, let’s head inside.”
Sarah deliberately slowed her steps, walking alongside Timothy into the hall, her gaze flaunting her triumph.

“Why didn’t you say so earlier? Why keep it from us?”
Asher was confused,
Jennifer gave a faint smirk and replied quietly, “Because I wanted to use it as a chance to end the engagement.”
That had indeed been her intention at the time.
Timothy’s hand slowly tightened at her words. So, she really wanted to call off the engagement.
Sarah, on the other hand, was delighted. “Mr. Clark, then our families‘ engagement can continue, right?”
Asher chimed in, “Exactly, Mr. Clark. Jennifer has agreed to let Barah take the engagement. This way, our families can still work

Timothy’s eyes flashed with sarcasm. “Since you’ve agreed, why would I refuse? After all, being engaged to both sisters doesn’t put me at a loss.”

Jennifer forced herself to remain calm. “Congratulations, then.”

Timothy understood what she was thinking. If she wanted freedom, he could give it to her.
But in the end, she must despise him for being disabled.
