Chapter 266 So What?
Jennifer set down her champagne glass, her patience stretched to its limit. She couldn’t stay silent any longer.
Sarah was the first to react, rushing over with a towel to dab at Dylan’s face. “Dylan, are you alright? Jennifer, how could you do this to your own brother?”
Dylan snatched the towel from her, wiping his face furiously while glaring daggers at Jennifer. “You want to insult me? I’m your brother, hell!”
“So what? I don’t care.”
Jennifer lifted her chin. “Just now, the two of you played your little game,

pushing all the blame from the other day onto me. Do you really think I’m some pushover?”
Dylan’s eyes flashed with anger. “What do you mean by ‘playing games‘? Wasn’t what we said true?”
Sarah echoed, “Yes, Jennifer. You can’t drag everyone down because of your own issues, can you?”
Sensing the storm brewing, Asher quickly tried to smooth things over. He turned to Timothy. “It seems Jennifer is still upset. How about we eat first?”
“Eat? What eating?“.
Timothy stared at Jennifer. “My fiancée’s anger hasn’t subsided yet. What makes

you think you all deserve to eat?”
Asher froze, a flicker of displeasure crossing his face, and argued, “What do you mean, Mr. Clark?”

He thought, “Was Timothy really willing to drag the Hargreaves family’s reputation through the mud for Jennifer’s sake?”
Without another word, Timothy maneuvered his wheelchair to stand directly in front of Jennifer.
He placed a gun in her hand and demanded calmly, “Today, you call the
shots here.”
Jennifer stared down at the gun, confusion swirling in her mind. “What was he thinking?” she wondered.

“When I said I misunderstood,” Timothy said in a calm tone, chilling everyone to the bone, “I meant I initially thought your bias was the issue. But now, I realize you all deserve to die.”
Sarah stammered as her complexion drained to a ghostly pale, “Mr. Clark, this…”
Lost for words, she turned to Asher, silently realizing that today’s gathering was nothing but a trap.
Timothy took Jennifer’s hand; the gun now pointed squarely at the Hargreaves

Sarah, startled, immediately hid behind Dylan.
Beads of sweat formed on Asher’s forehead. “Mr. Clark, why did you bring us here? Just get to the point,” he asked.
It was clear this dinner wasn’t about celebrating Jennifer’s pregnancy.
Jennifer turned to gaze at Timothy, who stood by her side, feeling a web of conflicting emotions.
Timothy met her gaze. “Don’t like someone? Take them out. I guarantee
there’ll be no consequences.”
“Are you seriously suggesting I could kill

Timothy smiled, “Exactly. It might be a bit of a hassle to kill them all, but if it makes you happy, it’s not impossible.”
With his perfect, chiseled features, he spoke words that chilled to the bone.
Jennifer was startled.
She realized this was Kinglet Villa, confirming her dreaded suspicion: this place was indeed where Timothy dealt with his dark deeds.
She lifted her gaze to face the Hargreaves family.
Hiding behind Dylan, Sarah dared not speak, fearing that Jennifer might pull the

Asher stood at the dining table, taking a tentative step forward. “Jennifer, I didn’t realize you were so upset about what happened in the basement. I haven’t been attentive enough to your feelings.”
Jennifer leveled her gun squarely at Asher.
His expression faltered. “Jennifer, whatever grievances you have, you can tell me. I can fix them for you. There’s no need to go this far. I mean, no need for bloodshed.”
But Jennifer sneered, “When you were deflecting blame and pushing everything

onto me earlier, why didn’t you say that? Now that things aren’t going your way, you want to sweet–talk me?”
Asher’s face flushed with embarrassment, though he quickly retorted, “Jennifer, you have to understand my difficulties, too.”
Inside, Asher thought, “Surely, we can’t always rely on the Clark family to push the Hargreaves family into action whenever something comes up. I’m her older brother. Shouldn’t that count for at least a little respect?”
“Your difficulties,” Jennifer continued, “are that the Hargreaves family will crumble without the Clark family’s support. So, no matter the cost, you’ll do anything to maintain this alliance. But
you shouldn’t play both sides. Pretending

you care about me when, in truth, you’re only looking out for yourself.”
She was done with their hypocrisy.
Timothy held her hand, whispering, “Kill
him.”
