Chapter 310 What Was He Planning to Do
Jennifer was caught off guard when she heard Timothy crack a joke.
With a smile, she said, “I didn’t think you knew how to joke around.”
“Why? Do I look like someone who doesn’t joke?”
“Well, you’re usually so serious. Always quiet and stern. It gives off a very no–nonsense vibe.”
After spending more time with Timothy, Jennifer started to realize he wasn’t as unapproachable as he seemed. She remembered Sharon mentioning how Timothy used to be cheerful and outgoing. She said he was quite popular with the ladies.
It was that car accident that had turned him into the person he
was now.
Jennifer could understand. If she’d gone through something like that, she figured her personality might’ve changed just as drastically.
But then, she thought of his fate in her previous life. She remembered how he had been left in such a miserable situation

The conversation between them fizzled out, leaving an awkward
silence.
Timothy gently covered her eyes with his hand. “Go to sleep.”
Jennifer pressed her lips together, thinking, “It’s not like this relationship between us will last.
We might as well just go with the flow for now.”
Though she thought she wouldn’t be able to sleep, she drifted off quickly.
Timothy, however, stayed wide awake. He looked down at the person in his arms, carefully adjusting his position so as not to wake her.
When Jennifer woke up the next morning, Timothy was already
gone.
She admired his self–discipline. Rain or shine, Timothy always stuck to his rehab exercises every morning without fail.
Jennifer had woken up earlier than usual that day, so she headed to the gym, too. She hopped onto the treadmill for a run.
From the corner of her eye, she spotted Timothy working out with resistance equipment. His muscular arms were undeniably striking.

After a while, Timothy wheeled himself over to her. “Have you stared enough?”
Jennifer blushed faintly. “What? Am I not allowed to look?”
Timothy didn’t say anything. He simply handed her a bottle of
water.
Jennifer stopped running, feeling a bit winded.
Timothy gave her a once–over. “Your stamina is terrible.”
“I know. I’ve always wanted to learn some self–defense, but I never had the time before.”
Now that the fashion show was over, she finally had time to consider it.
In her past life, Sarah had caused her no end of trouble. This time, she wanted to be prepared.
“I can teach you.”
Timothy began coaching her on training techniques. By the end. of their session, Jennifer was so exhausted she could barely lift her arms and legs.
After breakfast together, Timothy left for the office.
Chapter 310 What Was He Planning to Do Jennifer stayed home to rest for a bit before heading to her university. She still had classes to attend.
She arrived just as the bell rang.
Taking a seat in the front row, she looked up at Vivian on the podium and felt a small surge of happiness.
Winning the award had been a good thing for everyone.

Vivian praised Jennifer’s design in front of the class, going over her sketches in detail.
Jennifer became the center of attention, the object of envy.
Meanwhile, Sarah, sitting in the back, was seething with jealousy. She sneered, “So what if she won an award? Don’t forget. Mrs. Millie Clark slaps her in front of everyone.”
Her words sparked a flurry of gossip.
“Really? That can’t be true, right?”
“No way. Even if they don’t get along, slapping someone in public is a bit much.”
Sarah, brimming with smugness, said, “I saw it with my own eyes. Jennifer’s part of the Clark family, and Mrs. Millie Clark can’t stand her flaunting herself around. She’s already left the studio.”
Chapter 310 What Was He Planning to Do Sarah had been so elated when she learned the news that she couldn’t sleep a wink that night.

“Jennifer’s finally getting what she deserves. That wretched woman won’t have a chance to gloat anymore,” Sarah thought gleefully.
Jennifer overheard their conversation and turned to glance at Sarah. “I just wanted to focus on my studies. After all, I still have my thesis to work on. Staying at the studio would’ve only held my mentor back.”
“Oh, spare me. Everyone knows you left because Mrs. Millie Clark slapped you,” Sarah shot back, eyes brimming with glee.
She had been delighted to see Jennifer get slapped. Now that the opportunity had arisen, she wasn’t going to let it slide.
Sarah imagined Jennifer crying her eyes out the night before.
At that moment, all eyes in the room turned to Jennifer. Their gazes carried a mix of schadenfreude and curiosity.
