Sarah pleaded, “Asher, I can’t stand the pain anymore. Please take me to the hospital.”
She thought, “They could investigate everything later. But I need to go to the hospital as soon as possible.”
But Asher had no way to help her.
She started cursing, “Is it because I’m not your biological sister that you treat me like this? If it were Jennifer in my position, would you still act like this?”
Asher was shocked by her words.
He was upset and sulked, “Sarah, how could you say that?”
From childhood to adulthood, he had treated Sarah even better than Jennifer, to the point that Jennifer had once felt they were biased and had even decided to cut ties with them.
He thought he had been good enough to Sarah, never expecting her to blame him like this. It was heartbreaking.
“Why can’t I say it? I’m in so much pain right now, but you’re not taking me to the hospital. Instead, you’re waiting to check that damn surveillance footage first. Isn’t it just because I’m not your biological sister? That’s why you’re treating me so casually?” Sarah accused.

Sarah had thought that once Jennifer left, she would replace Jennifer and become the only daughter of the Hargreaves family.

Soon, the footage was displayed in front of Timothy.
Timothy was shocked to see Jennifer limping her way into the laboratory.
He could tell that Jennifer had injured her legs, probably when she was forced to kneel earlier.
Timothy paused the video and demanded, “Who hurt her legs? Step forward.”
The two bodyguards exchanged nervous glances, both turning to Millie for help.
They could sense how angry Timothy was.
Millie felt a little guilty. She looked at Timothy and said, “It was me. What, do you want to kill me?”
Timothy glanced at her and then the two bodyguards. “It was them, right?”

Millic was enraged, pointing at Timothy.

She screamed, “What do you think you’re doing? If you want to blame someone, blame me. I ordered them to do it. Shoot me, if you dare!”
Timothy’s tone went icy. “You are my mother. I can’t lay a hand on you. But I must warn your subordinates about what will happen to them if they harm Jennifer.”
This was his way of using a harsh example to warn others.
Millie raised her hand and slapped Timothy across the face. “If you want to fight, then fight me. Why threaten them?”
“I am warning them, and I’m warning you as well,” Timothy replied coldly. “If this continues, your subordinates will lose their lives, and you will have to live with that consequence if you choose to allow it.”
Those around Millie had been with her for many years. If she couldn’t protect them, no one would listen to her anymore.
Millie almost fainted from rage.
She couldn’t believe that Timothy was threatening her for just a
woman.
