Chapter 353 The Forum
Now that Jennifer had Timothy backing her, the idea of her returning to Hargreaves Villa was out of the question.
The mere thought of it was absurd–was Asher expecting all four of them to bow down to Jennifer?
Asher stood in the hospital hallway, contemplating for a long while.
Finally, he took out his phone and typed out a message to
Jennifer. Asher: [Jennifer, I know I’ve wronged you in the past, but if you’re willing to come back to Hargreaves Villa as a family member, I promise you won’t suffer anymore.]
When Jennifer read the message, she let out a cold laugh.
She was tired of hearing those words, over and over again.
She typed back. Jennifer: [I’ve made my terms clear. It’s either Sarah or me.]
Asher: [But with Sarah in this condition, kicking her out of Hargreaves Villa would be too cruel.]
Jennifer didn’t respond.
How could anyone expect her to simply forgive and forget everything that had happened?

If not for her quick thinking and determination to survive, she would have been crushed in that lab.
Who had shown her any sympathy?
Now, everyone was attempting to guilt–trip her into being magnanimous and forgiving.
Jennifer spent the day at the hospital, and by the next morning, she was ready to leave. She had no major injuries, so she was cleared for discharge.
However, instead of going straight home to King Villa, Jennifer went to her school.
She had already missed a lot of classes and needed to catch up on assignments and lessons in the self–study room.
At least she was fortunate that her injuries weren’t severe enough to affect her studies.
Sarah, on the other hand, was a different story.
Her neck injury was too visible to hide, and for someone like Sarah, obsessed with her appearance, it must have felt like a fate worse than death.
When Jennifer walked into the classroom, she immediately sensed that something was off. Her classmates were staring at her with a mixture of hostility and judgment.

What had she done to provoke this?

She couldn’t think of anything recent that would have made her enemies.
As she sat down, her phone buzzed with a new notification. It was a post on the campus forum.
Opening it, she saw that Sarah had publicly accused her of deliberately causing her injury out of jealousy.
Sarah even included photos of her neck, with the ugly scars clearly visible.
The post quickly gained traction, and soon, everyone seemed to be sympathizing with Sarah.
People were condemning Jennifer, calling her vicious and cruel, claiming that she had harmed her own family out of envy of Sarah’s looks and achievements.
Some even suggested that Sarah should press charges.
Jennifer’s heart sank as she realized why her classmates had been eyeing her so strangely earlier.
The rumors were already spreading like wildfire.
Looking through the post, she noticed that people had even found her personal account and started sending her abusive.
messages.

The post’s popularity only grew, with more and more people. joining the chorus of criticism.
Jennifer was deeply affected, but she didn’t yet know how to respond.

If she simply posted something in her defense, it would be too late–the damage had already been done. With Sarah playing the victim and her graphic injury photos circulating, no one would believe her version of events.
Jennifer hadn’t expected Sarah to resort to such tactics.
Before she could formulate a response, the professor entered the classroom to begin the lecture.
Midway through the class, he glanced around the room and announced, “Alright, now we’ll start with a group exercise on this topic. I’ll be asking questions shortly.”
As the students divided into groups, Jennifer noticed that her group had significantly fewer members than usual.
She couldn’t help but wonder if it was because of the forum drama.
The professor noticed too and asked, “Why are there so few members in Jennifer’s group? Is there a problem?”
Jennifer felt uncomfortable.
One of the students spoke up, “Professor, it’s not that we have a

problem with Jennifer, it’s just… she’s a monster. We don’t want to be in the same group as someone like her.”
Jennifer turned to face the student. “That’s not what happened!”
What Sarah said was a lie!
