Chapter 356 The Attitude for an Apology
Jennder stared at the people blocking her path, suddenly curious about what Dylan wanted from her.
Shed already destroyed the small amount of refined medication in the lab,
Even if Dylan started over now, there was nothing he could do.
She was the one who beld all the cards now.
Jennifer smirked, Let’s go.”
Hersary compliance caught the driver and standoff guard as they exchanged glances. They hadn’t expected Jennifer to agree so readily
They hadn’t been hopeful about this errand at all.
They were well aware of their current situation. The research institute was destroyed, the pharmaceutical company was under pressure, and their boss was hospitalized with injuries.
All of this was because of Jennifer and her powerful fiancé from the Clark family backing her up.
The Hargreaves family couldn’t afford to offend Jennifer right now,
Men Dylan sent them to find Jennifer at school, even though they knew she was in the library, they didn’t dare approach her directly. They could only wait outside the school.

But surprisingly, Jennifer had agreed to go with them without any hesitation.
They arrived at the hospital shortly after.
When Jennifer entered the hospital room, she saw Dylan propped up in bed, his foot wrapped in bandages, looking much thinner than before.
Several documents lay beside Dylan, clearly work–related materials.
Jennifer had heard about the recent troubles at Dylan’s pharmaceutical company, and she suspected Timothy was behind it all.
She walked into the hospital room with a composed expression and said coolly, “Just tell me what you want.”
I can’t believe you actually came. I thought I’d have to beg you multiple times just to see your face.”
Dylan was genuinely surprised that Jennifer had shown up at the hospital.
He studied his sister carefully, realizing he could no longer read what was going on in her mind.
“Cut to the chase. Why did you call me here? Don’t tell me you just wanted me to check if you were dead or not?” Jennifer’s tone was cold.
After everything that went down at the research facility, did the Hargreaves family really think they could have a civil conversation

with her?
“Millie won’t let me die,” Dylan replied flatly.
“But how long do you think you’ll last once she finds out you haven’t developed the drug?”
Jennifer wasn’t pulling any punches.

Her words made Dylan’s expression darken. “You think you’re so capable? Without me, you’re nothing.”
Dylan had been pulling his hair out over company matters, but the research facility was still making zero progress.
Without Jennifer’s previously purified reagent, his research had hit a dead end.
“Stop wasting my time. What do you really want to say?” Jennifer’s voice remained steady and detached.
“Look, we’re still family at the end of the day. Despite all this conflict, we could reconcile and work together on developing the cure. What do you think?”
Jennifer wasn’t surprised at all by these words.
With a mocking smile, she said, “So you can stab me in the back again? You really think I’d fall for that twice?”
“I never thought you were the type to care about taking credit,” Dylan said calmly. “If it mattered that much to you, you could have brought it up before. I would have treated you fairly.”
Chapter 356 The Attitude for an Apology Jennifer inwardly scoffed at his words.

She remembered crystal clear how Dylan had acted in her past life, how, in the end, she’d been tossed aside like a used tool, with Dylan and Sarah stealing all the credit for her work.
Jennifer stared at Dylan. “When you’re asking for a favor, you should act like it. If you’ve got nothing else to say, forget it.”
Jennifer turned to leave. She didn’t want to watch Dylan act like working with her was some huge concession, as if he was doing her some massive favor.
“Hold it right there, Jennifer! Would you even be where you are today without me? If it weren’t for me, you’d never have had the chance to get engaged to the Clark family.”
Dylan’s anger was boiling over. “So this is how you’re going to play it? Pretending like you don’t know me? What would Mom and Dad think if they knew about this?”
At the mention of their parents, Jennifer spun around and stormed toward Dylan.
Dylan’s brow furrowed. “What are you doing?”
Jennifer sneered, then knocked Dylan’s laptop off the desk and poured his drink all over the documents.
