CHAPTER 14: COMPLICATED SITUATION
Isabella struggled at first, but soon surrendered to Sebastian’s kiss, responding and wrapping her arms around his neck, letting herself go. The two got lost in their own emotions, as if their bodies longed to be close to each other.
Sebastian was in heaven, wanting more of the woman in his arms, but the situation abruptly changed when someone opened the door and cleared their throat. They quickly separated, and Isabella was filled with embarrassment upon seeing Mateo behind them with a serious look.

Isabella tensed upon hearing the little boy’s name, something inside her changed, and fear took over her. Without thinking, she approached Sebastián and asked

“Right now, he’s with your mother, his father continued. “He started bleeding from his nose, you know it’s happened before, but now… he fainted. You need to come as soon as possible, he’s at Saint John’s.”

“I’m on my way.” He hung up and turned around, but Isabella quickly questioned him.

Sebastian didn’t have time to argue with Isabella, so he simply nodded and walked ahead with firm steps. She quickly adjusted her clothes and followed him without saying a word. Behind them, Mateo watched the scene, confused by the sudden turn of events.
Just as they were leaving. Inesa was about to enter.
“Sebastian, you already have…” she began to say, but he interrupted her immediately.
“We’ll talk later, I have to go now.”
“But… why! What’s going on!”
She tried to get an explanation, but Sebastian didn’t stop to give any. He simply walked quickly, closely followed by Isabella towards the elevator, narrowing his eyes and looking at her with suspicion.
“Nicholas is in the hospital!” she asked, surprised by the news.
“Yes, they just called him. You know his son is more important than anything,” Mateo responded
“And… who is she?” Inesa asked, referring to Isabella.
Mateo put his hands in his pockets, looking towards where Sebastian and Isabella had disappeared.

“I guess his new assistant. So it’s best to dismiss the others who are still waiting. It seems Sebastian has chosen her.
Iness clenched her hands unconsciously, her displeasure evident. She couldn’t tolerate beautiful women being close to Sebastian; that’s why she had made sure none lasted, and she was determined that Isabella would be no exception.
SAINT JOHN’S HOSPITAL
Sebastian stopped the car abruptly and got out in a hurry, closely followed by Isabella. Soon, both were in the pediatric area. Upon arrival, they found Coraline, Sebastian’s mother, being consoled by the housekeeper.
“Where is he?” he asked bluntly.
“Oh, son. He’s inside. The doctor is running some tests, he said we can only wait,” Coraline responded, her voice trembling.
“Tests‘ Tess for what?” The anxiety and impatience were palpable in Sebastian’s voice.
“I don’t know, son, I’m very scared. Suddenly, his nose started bleeding, he fainted, and he had a fever.”
Sebastian clenched his teeth in frustration, his mind racing, imagining the worst. He turned around, determined to enter the area where Nicholas was, but then he felt a small hand grabbing his arm. He turned slightly and saw Isabella stopping him.
“Don’t do it,” she said firmly but with a calm voice. “You need to let the doctors do their job. If you go in there like this, you’ll only make Nicholas
more nervous.”
Her words, though simple, carried a weight that made Sebastin stop in his tracks. When Isabella spoke, at was then that Coraline noticed her presence. Her eyes narrowed, noticing a certain familiarity between her son and this woman unknown to her.

Sebastian looked at his mother, and for a moment he was willing to tell her she wasn’t anyone important.
However, at that moment, the doctor appeared.
“Has Nicholas’s father arrived?”
“Yes, that’s me,” Sebastián responded, stepping forward, his attention now completely focused on the doctor,
“Good, please come with me. Your son’s situation is more delicate than I thought,” the doctor said seriously, indicating the gravity of the situation
