Chapter 6
Before I realized what was happening, Kevin rushed up, grabbed the microphone out of my hand, and slammed it hard onto the ground.
The piercing sound startled everyone present.
His eyes widened with anger as he scrutinized me and Erik.
Realizing that Kevin might be losing his senses, Erik stood up and shielded me.
That made Kevin’s eyebrows furrow tightly.
Meanwhile, Lindsay poked her head out.

exaggeratedly, and said in a sharp voice, “Oh my goodness, Katrina! Just a few days apart, and you already have a new lover? You’re really good at seducing men!
“Do you know how frantically Kevin has been looking for you? Let me remind you that you’re not divorced yet, so don’t be so eager to cheat on your husband! If you’re willing to come back, Kevin might still forgive you out of mercy.
“If I were you, I would definitely live wholeheartedly with Kevin. But you don’t cherish such a good man. You’re really foolish!”
She said these hypocritical words with pretended regret while holding Kevin’s arm tighter and tighter.

Kevin stared at me and Erik without blinking and asked in a hoarse voice, “Katrina, did you divorce me just for him? When you didn’t reply to my messages and talked to someone else on the phone, were you contacting him? How could you be so unfaithful?”
Angered by his arrogance, I couldn’t help but laugh and didn’t want to waste my time explaining to him anymore.
“Kevin, I remember I made it clear to you that we’re already divorced. You’re the very person who refused to sign the agreement, but that’s not my concern. As for whether I cheated or not, it’s none of your business,” I said.

He reached out to pull me, murmuring in a daze, “This can’t be true. Katrina, you’re still mad at me, right? I promise I’ll change, but you have to come back with me.”
Erik stood in front of me and said sharply, “Mr. Blunt, Katrina has made it clear that she won’t go back with you.”
Driven by rage, Kevin punched him in the face.
Erik endured the attack to protect me from being hurt.

I widened my eyes and screamed, “Erik!”
I rushed forward to check his injury. Kevin had pulled together all his strength to punch a tooth off Erik, and his mouth also bled.
I was shaking with anger, thinking that Kevin would at least leave some dignity for both of us.
In that case, I wouldn’t spare any old feelings for him. I walked up to Kevin, raised my hand high, and slapped him hard on the face.
Kevin’s head tilted due to the slap. He said in shock, “Katrina, you hit me for another man?”

Lindsay screamed, rushed forward to sustain Kevin, and cursed, “Katrina, you shameless bitch! Kevin is already doing great by coming to find you in person!”
But I was only concerned about Erik’s injuries and didn’t have time to refute her.
I didn’t know if the punch just now had hurt Erik’s brain, so I was in a hurry to take him to the hospital to treat his
wound.

“What about all the gifts I gave you and what I did for you? Besides, we’ve just gotten married for one day. How can we just get a divorce like this?”

“Ask yourself, did you really take care of me well in place of my parents, like you promised?
“You left me at the scene of a fire twice and countless times abandoned me to be with Lindsay when I needed you.
‘As for those gifts you, they were all things that Lindsay didn’t want!”
After hearing what I said, Kevin, however, looked a bit happy. He stepped forward and said, “You care about these things? Katrina, I know you still love me! As long as you come back with me, I promise I won’t treat you like that again!”

“What is your fucking problem?” I couldn’t take it anymore and pushed him away. “Can’t you understand English? Don’t force me to say something even more disgusting!”
However, Kevin smiled slightly and showed me a picture on his phone.
It was the pregnancy test report that I hadn’t had time to take away.
This child was one that I had conceived with great difficulty after a miscarriage.
I had planned to announce this good news at the wedding, but Kevin’s behavior completely discouraged me from doing so.
