When I saw Bentley again, it was at a social gathering three days later.
Bentley came to Lightvale personally, upon the recommendation of a good friend, to seek help from the Campbell Group.
I walked to the door and heard voices inside having a conversation.
“Bentley, rest assured, this Ms. Campbell, despite being young, possesses exceptional abilities and has already become the leader of the Campbell Group early on.“‘
“As long as she was willing to speak up and take care of your business, your company would definitely come back to life!”
“It all depends on whether Ms. Campbell is willing to help you or not!”
I pushed the door open and everyone turned their heads toward me.
Conor Mendez, from my subsidiary company, saw me approaching with a smile and said, “Ms. Campbell, you’re here!”
He signaled to Bentley, asking him to come forward and toast me.
Bentley cautiously approached, holding a glass.

I ignored him and glanced at Conor with a light laugh.
“So, the person you said you were going to meet today was Bentley, huh.”
During the day, I received an invitation from Conor, saying that someone had reached out to him to
bridge the gap and wanted to meet me.
