Chapter 6
“Bad woman! She’s a mother tiger!”
In the innocent child’s words, there was a lot of malice.
“Oh no! Jagger! How do you talk to your elders!”
Lilian instinctively looked at Braydon and saw that he was just covering his face without saying anything. She then said again, “This child doesn’t know where he learned these vulgar words, Annie, don’t mind it.”
“He just liked Braydon too much. Last time when he had a fever, he kept asking for Braydon to come
and accompany him.”
Braydon would definitely be a good father in the future!”
I did not break my defense as she had expected, I just nodded lightly and said, “You’re right.”
Braydon’s face grew darker, and he spoke slowly, “Since that’s the case, why don’t you drive, and Jagger and I will sit in the back.”
He deliberately provoked me, trying to make me jealous.
But looking at the three of them standing together, not even a trace of anger arose in my heart.
Braydon, was no longer the person who could affect my emotions with every move and action.
Jagger didn’t realize that something was wrong, he just thought he had helped his mother regain Braydon, looking proud just like Lilian.
The three of them squeezed in the back, with Jagger sitting in the middle of the two, looking like a truly happy family of three.
Braydon, however, remained frowning and silent throughout.
In order to ease the atmosphere, Lilian took the initiative to speak up, “Annie, I heard Derrick and others mention before that you were always jealous, but now it seems that you are not that kind of
person at all.”
I was driving the car, just nodding absentmindedly.
Lilian, however, seemed encouraged.
“Braydon was truly a good man, always taking care of us, mother and son. Jagger, this child, has never had a father since he was young. Although he doesn’t say it out loud, he has always yearned for paternal love in his heart. I was thinking, could I borrow Braydon for a while and have him accompany me and Jagger to a theme park next Sunday?”
“With Jagger around, Braydon and I definitely wouldn’t do anything out of line.”

The car stopped, and I turned around and smiled calmly.
“Of course, he can. There’s no need to inform me about such matters. He was already an adult and
could make his own decisions.”
“Annie!”
Braydon furrowed his brow even tighter. He opened the car door for Lilian and them, and after seeing them off upstairs, he grimly opened the driver’s door and asked me to sit in the passenger
seat.
I, however, went straight to the back.
“Why don’t you sit in the front? Are you angry?”
shook my head.
“I was just tired.”
Without Lilian and Jagger, the car suddenly became quiet, so quiet that it was suffocating.
Braydon couldn’t resist anymore, “This is the last time, once this is over, I will explain everything to Lilian and Jagger. Annie, can you trust me one more time?”
He nodded in the gaze of his expectations, took a deep breath, and felt fortunate for his narrow
escape.
But my heart was desolate.
I really didn’t care. I was going abroad next Sunday.
