Chapter 11
Perhaps it was because I had unloaded the burden in my heart, I slept particularly sweetly that night.
To celebrate my joining the company, they gave me half a day off.
I slept until noon before going to work.
However, after a while, a colleague came over and said that there was a homeless man outside
looking for me.
I was confused, but Trenton walked over worriedly to accompany me. Just as I reached the doorway,
I saw that familiar figure.
It was Braydon.
After several days of not seeing each other, he had lost quite a bit of weight. His cheeks had sunken
in, and there were stubborn dark circles under his eyes that couldn’t be concealed. His hair was also messy, as if he hadn’t bothered to groom himself for a long time.
He saw me, and his dull eyes lit up again, but in an instant, a burst of anger rose when he saw
Trenton. He rushed over, wanting to push Trenton away.
“Get lost, who allowed you to get close to Annie!”
Unlike Braydon’s miserable state, Trenton had a very regular routine and maintained a good fitness
habit.
He gave Trenton a push, but Trenton didn’t even budge.
I furrowed my brow, not understanding why Braydon was causing such a scene.
Braydon, however, turned his head, his eyes bloodshot, and he looked utterly defeated. He walked
up to me, head down, and pleaded, “Annie, come back with me, let’s not get divorced, okay?” I
shook my head.
“Braydon, we have ended it. The way you are now, it is not only disrespectful to me but also to
Lilian.”

Later, it was heard that Lilian ran away with all their money.
Braydon couldn’t withstand the blow and spent his days at home, getting drunk and completely ruining himself.
His childhood friend called me several times again, telling me about Braydon’s ruined life. I just listened silently, without any ripples in my heart.
A few months later, I received the divorce agreement signed by Braydon.
Looking at the divorce agreement in my hand, I felt that my shackles were finally released.
All the things of yesterday, have died with yesterday.
The future me will have a new life.
