- 27.
My cousin left.
She had her resignation put in front of me.
I said, “Why are you leaving? Stay.”
She said, “You are a leader, the company will
be left in better hands.”
“What about you?”
She said, “I want to dedicate myself to
charity.”
She said, “I want to be just like you.”
I said, “Don’t try to act like I’m smart, I was
just in charge.”
“The little things you did were enough.”
I had her go, but what she wanted to do.
She would do a good job.
She was excellent.
One day she would leave her name on history.
I laughed.
She raised the value of my company.
We had to call her and joke. “With you, the
dogs are going to be raised up.”
Her voice was lazy. “The company is doing
better with just a little bit?”
I said, “You can always use more.”
“Coming?”
I said, “You have to help me. My mother and
aunt want me to find someone. I’ve dated
three times this month.”
She laughed.
