“I don’t know. That little bastard has been missing for a long time, my father said coldly.
A police officer replied, “Alright, Mr. Xavier. We’ll continue looking, but we also hope you’ll cooperate with our investigation.”
No matter how hard the police searched, they could never find me. It was because I was still lying in that trunk. My body had already decomposed and might soon become a skeleton. No one could find me.
The police searched everywhere, trying to locate me. However, all the surveillance footage showed only a woman in a mask and hat. They could not confirm that it was me.
Their search took so long that even Queenle had been discharged from the hospital. However, the police still had not found any trace of me.
“It’s as if she vanished into thin air,” a police officer said when he came our house.
My father remarked, “Hmph, how can a living person just vanish? Her low–life friends must have helped her. Blake is vicious. She must be hiding!”
The police officer did not lose his temper. He only casually looked around the house and noticed a surveillance camera in the living room. “Mr. Xavier, may we look at your home surveillance footage?”
My father nodded. “Sure.”
The officer copied the surveillance footage, and the police force soon discovered it was incomplete. The footage only went back a month, and the rest seemed to have been deleted.
The police officer who checked the surveillance footage commented, “This family is really weird.”
A month’s worth of footage was enough to keep them occupied for a while. During this time, they changed their approach–they looked for the car since they could not find me.
A person could disappear without a trace, but a car that size could not. By checking surveillance footage. along the road, the police soon found traces of the car. The car vanished on the outskirts of the city, and there was a lake nearby.
I leaned in toward the computer, nodding. “Yes, officer. The car was pushed into the lake.”
The police quickly headed to the lake and contacted divers. As expected, they found the car at the bottom of the lake.
Before long, a large crane was brought over to retrieve the car from the bottom of the lake.
One police officer said grimly, “The suspect wore gloves, so there may not be any fingerprints, but we mustn’t overlook any other traces.”
Another team searched the area and found an old oil drum with some burnt remnants inside. They lifted the remnants with tweezers to find fabric scraps with the brand label still attached.
After ramming into Queenie’s car, Rosie pushed the car into the lake before burning the clothes she had worn. The clothes belonged to me, and there were no fingerprints in the car. They had no way to confirm Rosie was guilty.

I wanted to tell them to stop searching and that they would never find me, but no one could hear.
Fortunately, the clothing label was not burned completely, giving the police a clue.
“Captain Zachary, who doesn’t use bank cards nowadays? And she can’t be spotted on surveillance
either? The only clue we have is that label from the car, Is Blake some sort of demon that can appear and disappear without a trace?”
