Life went on. My parents were thrilled that I

Lily knew that Jake was going to be her dad,
so she covered her face with a hat.

Mark was always “cleaning up” after them, so
this time he made a mistake.
A few days later, Mark got fired.
He burned his bridges.
Plus, he was tired. During a surgery, he made
a mistake that killed someone.

Before Mark left, he asked to see me.
