Liam couldn’t process what he was hearing.
He looked around wildly at the wedding
posters.
Sure enough, there were photos of me and
Jake, looking like we belonged on the cover
of Town & Country. There wasn’t a sign of
Liam.
“What a couple of weirdos! It wasn’t their
wedding in the first place, and now they’re
trying to steal the spotlight.”
“That girl’s wearing a wedding dress, does
she think she’s going to pull a Cinderella and
become a princess today? Hilarious.”
The whispers spread through the crowd.
Maisie clutched the skirt of her dress, face
turning beet red.
Jake signaled to the security guards. “Escort
them out, please ”
This was my big day, my show, and I wasn’t
letting some outsider ruin it.
I continued my wedding in style.
I exchanged rings with Jake on the altar.
My eyes flicked to Liam, whispering with
Maisie in the distance, and I smiled.
I couldn’t be happier that my fiancé had been
replaced.
Sure, Jake and I had butted heads in college
when we were on rival debate teams.
But let’s be real, in terms of looks, charm,
and career ambition, Jake blew Liam out of
the water.
Swapping out a good–for–nothing fiancé for
a mature, handsome, and successful man?
It was a no-brainer.
