Chad stumbled back, loosening his grip. I
gasped for air, my chest heaving, my knees
choking

“You stupid jerk! She gave me her tickets! You
think you know everything, you are a moron!”
Penny yelled, her voice sharp with anger.
“What? Sarah switched tickets with you?” Chad
looked like he couldn’t believe what he was
hearing.
“Yes! You bought me tickets for a bad section,
and she was nice enough to let me have her
better ones. And you’re here yelling at her! Why
can’t you get your facts straight?”
Chad was stunned. He looked at Chloe, his face
growing darker. “Chloe, what is the truth?!”
Seeing that Chad was turning on her, I threw a
little more fuel into the fire. “Chloe’s spot is
just outside of the SVIP section, one flight of
stairs over. She wasn’t even that far away.”
“That’s right! You’re blaming the wrong person.

What is wrong with you two?” Penny said,
pointing her finger at Chloe.
Chloe tried to sound firm. “I’m not framing
anyone! Everything I said was true!”
Seeing that he couldn’t get out of it, Sam
stepped in, angrily yelling, “Sarah, you’re a
terrible person! You’re blaming her for what you
did, so she couldn’t hurt you! You’re just acting
so she couldn’t hurt her baby!”
“Why are you saying that I was trying to do
that?” Chloe looked confused, trying to act
innocent.
Sam turned to Chad, telling him, “Chad, I’m not
going to lie, this woman is a bad person! I saw
it myself! Sarah was trying to make her baby
die! She slipped something in her drink.”
Chloe, suddenly, looked like she understood and
turned to me, yelling, “Sarah! What is wrong

with you? Did you slip me something to hurt my
baby?”
Chloe’s eyes filled with fake tears.
“Sam, what are you talking about? I don’t know
what you are referring to? She said she was not
pregnant!” I yelled, my cheeks flushed red. They
were both trying to set me up.
Seeing the change in Chad, Penny tried to calm him. “Sir, please, calm down! I don’t think she’d
ever do that.”
“Oh, is that what you think? I’m hurt that my
baby is dead!” Chloe cried.
Penny was stunned and looked at me with
confusion.
I laughed and said, “You know, you keep saying
that I slipped something to hurt her, but do you
have proof? You can’t just say things without
evidence.”
Both of them froze, and their faces changed,
and they had no response.
Chad’s eyes widened. He looked like he could
kill them, and Penny smacked his arm again.
“Yeah, you gotta have proof! You can’t just
accuse people. That’s slander!” Penny stated,
looking at them.
Both of them said nothing, and Chloe looked at
the ground, trying to act like she was crying.
I added, “I think you guys are working together
to set me up! Chad, they are trying to make a
fool out of you. Are you going to let them get
away with this?”
Chad’s face grew dark. He looked at Sam with
hate.
Sam bit his lip and pulled out a sheet of paper.
“This is a receipt that Sarah bought an abortion
pill.”
