I snapped out of it.
“Huh? Oh. They’re so cute. Aren’t they?”
“Amy, if you wanna talk about it, you can. I
,
don’t believe you’ve really moved on.”
I paused, then smiled at the camera.
“I’m gonna die anyway. I might as well let it
go.”
Suddenly, the lights hit my eyes.
I was shocked.
Did the camera catch me?
Jake seemed to notice something.
The hand holding the microphone froze.
He looked at the screen.
The spotlight was on me but the seats were

Some things have to wait for the next life]
I leaned against the wall, gasping.
Sarah held me with one arm and held the
camera with the other.
“Amy, you’re sick. Don’t run so fast.”
I fixed my wig.
“If I don’t, they’ll see me like this. Then his
fans will get mad. He’s worked so hard for
this concert. I can’t ruin it for him.”
“Amy.”

Then someone ripped it off.
I stared at Jake face to face.
Those eyes looked down at me, frowning.
Sarah almost dropped the camera.
“Wow, you’ve really let yourself go.”
He grabbed my chin.
A look of disgust on his face.
“The guy you cheated on me with.
“He didn’t take good care of you?”
I pushed his hand away and pulled my mask
back up.
く
“Really? Doesn’t matter?”
“Of course.
“I need to thank you, Amy.”
I was shocked.
“Without you, I wouldn’t have known my true
love was Brittany.”
He smirked.

“Thanks for the betrayal.”
“She didn’t! She actually…”

“I get it.”
I slapped my hand over Sarah’s mouth, and
smiled at him.
“Wish you guys all the best.”
His eyebrows furrowed.
Sarah tried to say something, but I pulled her
away.
I half dragged her as she went with me.
I then heard Brittany’s voice.
“Jake, was that Amy?”
His voice was faint in the wind.
“No, she’s dead to me.”

Life’s a solo gig before you know it]
The camera showed Sarah, red–eyed,
searching everywhere.
“She was gone this morning. Room was
empty, bed was made, like she never slept
there.
“Where the hell did she go?
“That jerk Jake must’ve gotten to her. She’s
been off since that concert
been off since that concert.
“Just a guy, Amy, get over it. If she tries
anything stupid, I’ll… I’II…
“I’ll never talk to her again!”
Sarah cried as she looked around.
The camera went across fields and terraces.
It finally stopped at a cemetery.
A lonely figure was sitting by a tombstone.
“Amy!”
Sarah was about to lose it.
“What are you doing here?”
く
I looked at her, tilting my head.
After a second, I recognized her.
“Oh, it’s you, Sarah.”
“Amy?”
Sarah’s voice trembled.
I waved.
“I’m fine. I’m tired, my memory’s shot. I keep
dreaming about Mom and Dad.
“I couldn’t sleep last night, so I came out
here.”
I smiled.
