I put on my coat and got ready to drive there.
Sarah said that she would drive me there.
On the way, Sarah complained.
“I thought Jake was honest, I can’t believe he
would have a mistress.”
“He can’t do that, he betrayed us, he can’t
get away with this.”
“I’ll be here for you no matter what.”
I was nervous when we drove there.

Full of worry, we arrived.
The house was big.

He huffed.
“Just find me girls, how is that going too
far?”
“I guess I’ll ask my daughter then.”
Sarah mumbled.
“Anna, we are wrong.”
“He is helping your father.”
He said he loved my mom and that he was

To which she would wait and take care of me.
But then he came back with another woman.
I remembered my mom crying and asking him
why.
He then said he was bored.
That broke my mom.
She stared at our family picture and cried.
Then she killed herself.
I asked my dad to come.
